We glued the doll back together, we lost so many pieces. We had the whole top right side of the dolls face missing, I sighed deeply and threw myself on to my bed.  "Violet I'm really sorry." Julie said as she walked over to me.

"No it's fine it's only a doll." I threw it into the bin between our beds.

"Violet I'm sorry but I didn't want you to kill her." Julie said as she placed her hand on mine.

I pulled my hand away, "What do you mean? Are you thinking I'm a killer now? Are you believing the rumors too?"

She fell silent and shrugged. "Honestly I am believing it, you proved them right." I could hear her digging through the bin for the doll  "Maybe you are a killer." She added.

I felt my eyes widen, "ok." Is all I said and threw the blanket over my head and fell sleep.

--------------------------------------------------

I dreamt about the dolls and the scent of the blood that coverd the house. I saw mama's body laying in front of me, I noticed that I was holding her head. Her eyes pierced into mine. Then she began to whisper to me in latin. Mama's head melted in my hands as the dark void swallows me. I fell into it's darkness. I felt cold, and lonely.

------------

I woke up seeing the room frozen. There was icicles hanging from the ceiling. Snow on the floor boards, the window was frosted along with our metal bed frames. I sat up and saw Julie sitting on her bed rapidly looking through her book. she covers herself with her blanket.

I looked at my pitch black arms and saw blue on my finger tips. "You almost froze me in my sleep Violet."

I stood up and walked over to the window. "I did this?" I asked myself. I saw Julie cover her face with her blanket and lays down on her bed shivering. I chanted a heat/ warming spell and watched the room melt.  The ice and frost and the snow on the wooden floor melted by the second.

We heard a knock on the door, Miss Lizzy is on time as always. "Breakfast girl's." She called out.

"What did you dream about?" Julie asked me.

“Nothing." I got up and walked across the now warm wooden floor boards.

'Are you still mad at m-' I cut her off.  I didn't want to hear her right now, I exit the room and walked down the hall. There was certain painting that hung on the wall that caught my eye. I have never noticed it before, it must be new. It had a cross with roses surrounding it. It was beautiful, bright, and a warm vibe came off of it. The children that were playing in the hallway left as soon as I stepped out of my room. I guess the rumor will stick with me for a while. I continued down the hall, the window was left open. The snow was blown in by the wind. The cold felt nice, I stood at the window and looked up at the grey and white sky.

It was calming, "Violet?" I turned to face the voice.

“Yes?" It was Felicity. "I wanted to say I am truly sorry about the other day." She sighs and rubs her arm. "It's just I've been rejected by three different family's in one day."

'Excuses.' I thought as I leaned against the window. "It's fine." I spoke softly.

"I made these to show that I'm truly sorry." She handed me some cookies that were shaped like snow flakes. "I made them in the kitchen with the other children." They smelt nice, but I wasn't in the mood for food.

"Thank you." I took one to be polite and  ate it.

"Would you like to go to the park with me and the other children?" She asked me with a smile.

Her blush and freckles made me chuckle a little. "Sure why not."

-time skip after the park.-

I didn't make any friends while I was with her but I think I earned their trust a little. We did have conversations, and I had a snowball fight with Felicity and the others.

I entered my room and saw Julie sitting on her bed fixing the doll. "Julie don't worry about it, it's just a doll, I have one more left." Julie drops the doll on her bed and wipes her head with a cloth.

"I'm just trying to do something nice for you." She picks up some glass. "I found more under our beds."

I held up the bin. "Throw it away." I picked up the glass and tossed it in.

She did as I said. I pulled out the other doll that looked like Jessie. The skin was a little darker than hers but I didn't care. It was still perfect to me.  After I was done making sure the doll was safe I became bored. I decided to make snow flakes out of thin air and watch my arms change color. It's kind of interesting.  I went over to the table and picked up a small mirror and examined my eye's. They were normal, "Julie make me mad." She looked up at me quickly and shook her head no. "I won't do anything I just want to see something." I said as I messed with my long brown hair.

“Fine." She began to think then went to the door. "Your a killer, you should die and everyone's life would be better without you." She opened the door and stepped out with the door closing behind her.

I felt sadness and rage by those words. I looked into the mirror and saw my eye's growing to a deep red. "So this is exactly what they all saw." I said to myself. I looked at my hands they had sharp nails. Kind of like a cat, creepy but cool. My arms were pitch black, I looked up past my elbows and saw a black root like pattern going up my arm's. I smiled a little and saw my teeth, they were sharp like a shark.

"Are you good? Can I come in now?" Julie asked as she opened the door and made eye contact with me. I nodded and she sat next to me. "I’m sorry Violet, about the other day."

I looked at her, she was crying. I hugged her tightly, "stop crying we are fine, I'm fine, it was just a doll. I don't care anymore."

She smiled "can we be friends again?"  She asked me while whipping her tears away.

"Of course." I said with a soft smile.
