It was finally my 17th birthday. The lady in charge of the orphanage let Julie and i leave to go down town to buy some things we need.

Julie was so happy that squeezed my hand and made us run to town. She made me sprint, "julie stop i can't breathe." I said rasply trying to prevent a tunnel vision.

"Ok fine." She let go of my hand and we stood there catching our breathe. "Why didn't we just barrow the carriage?" I asked Julie. "Because they take forever on getting ready." She said nervously.

-time skip because im lazy.-

"Lets go to that shop next?" Julie asked me as she tugged on my arm. We exit the shop we were in and went for the one she pointed out.

I was bumped into by A girl with blond hair that was tighted back into a bun, she wore a bright blue fancy dress.

"Watch it you, you peasant." She yelled out we both hit the ground. "Who are you calling a peasent you prostitute?" I yelled back. "Well i never!" She became so upset her face turned bright as a tomato. We stood up and started calling names and increased the anger. I saw my hands turn black by the second. I pulled myself away and grabbed Julie's hand and walked away before i did anything regrettable.

'Good choice.' Julie thought to me looking back at the blond bitch. 'Shut up.' I pulled her into a dark ally way and dropped our bags in the ground next to a wooden crate. "I'm so done with rich spoiled brats!" I punched the brick wall with a crack. I looked at the wall, the bricks were broken. I ignored it and went back to being mad.

"Let it out but not to loud i don't want to get in trouble." Julie said as she peeked her head out to watch for anyone. So I let my anger out by breaking the crate and letting my full demonic features show.

Several minutes later I calmed down and picked up the bags. "Ready?" I asked Julie stdpping out of the shadow from the ally. "Yes ready."

We continued to shop and but a chess game set and finally went back home to the orphanage.

---------------------

"Finally we are home." I said in exhaustion.  "Yeah. . ." julie grabbed her bags and went for our room. I began to fallow after her. "What did you think of today?" I asked julie as i threw my bags onto my bed. I sat on my bed and took my shoes off. "It was amazing thank you, even though it wasn't MY birthday." She laughed and got up to sit on my bed.

'I'm kind of glad you didn't hit her.' Julie thought to me. 'Why? She deserves to have her nose busted.' I thought back in irritation then laughed "yeah your right." I opened my bags and dug through them. "Let's play some chess." I handed her the box and we went to the table to play.

A few hours of playing chess, julie kicking my butt. It was time for dinner, "you hungry yet?" She asked me as we stretched and got up from the floor. "Nah not really hungry but yeah i could eat a roll or two." We ran down the hall to the dinner table and sat down with the little amount of children at the table.

Now that more people visit our town  many children have been adopted. "Soup really? Again?" Julie complained. "Yes darling not enough money to do a full meal until the day of a Holliday." Said
miss. Londa. Julie groans then looks at me. "Are you going to sit down?" "Nah im going to go for a short walk, i need alone Time." I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck.

"Ok stay safe." She said sarcasticly "of course." I replied and went back to my room to put on my boots.

I ran back to the dinner table hug julie and walked to the front door. I closed the front door behind me and looked forward. "What i calm night." I spoke softly to myself.

An idea hit me and I made my way to a very familiar depressing path. As I walked down the path so many gorgeous wildlife bumped into me. An elk came up to me and rubbed against me. I pet it for a little bit until another creature startled it, it even made me jump.

The trees above my head danced in the very light breeze. I let my hair down after feeling a little chilly.

Finally after a long relaxing walk there was mama Ade's cabin in front of me. I walked the rest of the way and stepped onto the now broken and rotten porch. It still felt like she was here standing next to me.

I took a deep breath and walked in. As expected everything was broken and missing. Very messy but easy to fix up. I looked around the cabin for my things i had left behind, even some memories.

I went to mama's wardrobe and found a small jewelry box. It had her name ingraved on it. "I never thought this would still be here." I said to myself. I opened the box and found a red gem necklace with real gold trimming and chain.

Under it was her rings i seen her wear before. There were earings as well, one pair has a blue very small stone with gold trimmings.

'I miss this place, i missed her and Jessie. I want that happiness again.' I thought to myself and stood up. I placed wood into the firepit and started the fire like before. Then i walked to the other side of the room and sit on mama's old bed and looked around. 'I really shouldn't be here.' Before i knew it I fell asleep on her bed.

------------------------------

I woke up to the warmth from the fire that glowed very faintly and ready to go out. I got out of the bed and looked out the window. 'i fell asleep? I must get back.' I grabbed my boots and the jewlery then threw boots on. I quickly tied them and put out the fire and ran out the door.

Half way to the orphanage I ran out of breath but i ended up pushing myself. "Violet where were you?" Julie yelled at me. "No- where. . ." i panted and fell to my knees. "I. . .. Am. .  .never. . .running that. . .fast again." She laughed at me and we went to get some fresh water inside before she left.
