"It was an accident," Darien said, her eyes on the bandaid on her forearm, just where her elbow began. She tapped in the wound lightly as if to check if it still pained.

"He deliberately pushed you away. That's what the girls are saying," Liv, from the corner of Julia's bed, muttered and looked at Poppy who sat across her for cover.

Poppy shook her head, fidgeting with her braided hair. "You didn't see it for yourself, Liv. He was too fast to slow down. His hands weren't even touching Dee."

"You can't justify what he did like this," Liv shot back, her cheeks slightly pink now as her green eyes narrowed at her friends. "He didn't even apologize."

"I agree with Liv. He should've at least apologized. We can't really tell whether it was an accident or not. But either way he hurt her," Julia shrugged, propped against the headboard, looking sickly paler than usual. The tip of her nose was pink from the pinching. Her eyes were watering when she looked down at her phone. Noah had texted several times that day for updates and to ask how she was feeling.

But she was keen on knowing Noah's version of what really happened with Dee and Ibrahim. She didn't say it aloud first, wondering if something negative would come out she would have to make something up for Dee.

"Here you go," Dee was saying as she handed her the list of coursework. "If you want, we can split all these and do them for you."

"I'm fine," Julia sighed, shaking her head as she took it.

But Poppy piped up, "You do know that you keep making us feel guilty for not being good friends, don't you? Come on, Liv. Let's dig up her stuff and split."

Watching her friends scroll through her desk, Julia laughed, "No, it's fine. I can manage."

"We know you can. But you're the one who keeps helping us all the time. Let us do one thing for once." Liv said, bringing out her copies and shoving them in Poppy's hands.

Darien just sat there, biting her lip. "I'll do your Maths for you. And even if you ask Noah what really happened, I don't want to know."

Julia stared at her, trying not to frown and then just mewed an 'okay'. "Noah's going to be here in half an hour or so."

"Are you saying we should leave?" Dee raised her bushy eyebrows playfully. Julia only grinned and shook her head.

"Well, if he's going to propose, then..." Poppy shrugged, her lips curving at the three of her friends. "C'mon girls, give her some time to prep."

"I am not prepping for anything now," Julia protested, all the while laughing at her friends' words. Happily taking the flash-drive they had brought her, Julia slid it into the slot. Turned out it was a copy of the Sailor Moon R and several episodes she didn't have. At least, she could take a break from feeling sorry for herself.
