When Mayu opened her eyes. It was still the middle of the night. She was lying on her back on the ground, and she ached all over.
She tried to get onto her hands and knees by flipping to her left, and supporting herself with her left arm, but a sharp pounding pain shot through her head and body, especially her left foot. It was sprained.
"Auoww!!" She complained, supporting herself on a nearby tree as she stood up.
Where had Zoe gone, had she been ditched? Wow. Seriously? It was the middle of the night, she had sprained her ankle, and she was alone. Great. Just GREAT. What now? It was dark, but thankfully the full moon was shining brightly, so she decided to try and make her way back to her grandparent's house. However, the more she walked in the direction she had come from, the more she realized just how differently everything looked. The forest was even thicker than usual, and her grandparent's cabin was nowhere to be found.
"Aaah," Mayu sighed. "I never thought I could get this lost here. Everything looks so different. Maybe I should wait until morning."
The idea didn't exactly appeal to her. It could get quite cold! Of course, she didn't really have a choice at this point. Her ankle needed a rest, and it probably wasn't that good of an idea to be walking on it anyways, so she found a soft spot on the ground next to a big old tree to lay on, and closed her eyes. -W.
She had barely fallen asleep when she heard a loud howl. Her eyes flew open and she sat up fast.
"Wolves?" She spoke. "I don't remember wolves being on this island. What the hell's going on here?"
She sat with her back against the big tree and looked around. She feared what could come out and come at her. How could Zoe leave her like this? She wanted to cry, but the fear that the sound might bring something to her scared her greatly.
This fear and paranoia palgued Mayu the rest of the night. She went in and out of consciousness, until eventually, she was so tired, she slept off.

"What the fuck, Mayu?!" Zoe screamed.
She was slapping the huge, stone statue hard. She was furious.
"It was meant to be me!"
She was just throwing a fit. She was geared up and loaded for this journey, while Mayu didn't even know any other world existed besides Earth. Zoe fell to her knees before the statue.
"What do I do?" She thought aloud.
She shut her eyes hard and bowed her head. The cold night wind blew against her body, but her jacket kept it all out. She began shaking now. The tears had come. Mayu was her best friend, her bestie. And now, she was in a world mad with war.
"She can't survive on Cyron. They'll rip her apart."
She punched the ground severally. All was futile. Mayu wouldn't be coming back, but Zoe wouldn't give in just like that. She would find help. Find a way to get to Mayu. She quickly got on her feet and wiped her eyes.
"Make a prayer," she murmured.
She quickly took off her backpack. And from it, produced a book and torchlight. She shone the torch on the book as she flipped through the pages. She came to one page with the image of a hooded figure wielding a large sword. Her eyes went to the text beside the image. She knelt down and took out a knife from its sheath at her side.
