Mayu stood there, her heart accelerating as she desperately tried to stay calm. It wasn't working. There were centaurs surrounding her, actual fricking centaurs! And they all wanted to kill her and the group she was with. What was she supposed to do...
The ship had docked a few meters out at sea. Mayu and Sunibe were in one of three longboats making their way towards a lonely, sandy beach with only one boat on its shores and the occupants of that, Chidum, Klex and some other crew members, were on the beach already.
Mayu looked at the beach and saw beauty. She wasn't adjusted to the gloom those of this world saw everything through. She saw an empty beach of sand with no end in sight. The sky was clear and her mind went back to California. She immediately thought of Shelter Cove's Black Sand's Beach. Though you most certainly did not want to swim there, unless you were looking to drown. The Sneaker Waves would make sure of that.

If you wanted to swim in the ocean, you'd go to Shelter Cove's Ramp. There was usually a lot more people there, but besides the amount of sand that would inevitably get stuck in your swim suit, and freezing temperature, it was nice.
