Mayu opened her eyes and the sun was so bright she quickly shut them again. She turned on her side and the ground beneath her felt hard. Her senses suddenly came alive and she felt the cold of the ground and smelled the beautiful scent around her. The hot sun she had seen left her body feeling a little warm. She opened her eyes again and found she was lying on a white tiled floor.
"Ugh!" She groaned as she rose to a sitting position.
She looked around and felt confused. She was on tiled floor, but she had been in the forest a while ago. She had been with...
"Chidum!" She snapped, turning and looking around sharply.
The guy was gone and so was everyone else they had been travelling with. She was alone on this tiled floor. There was no roof over this place, just the tiled floor which stretched out as far the eyes could see. The sky above was not the clouds she was used to, it was all white with no sign of a cloud. The sun was just a bright ball of white light.
"Sunibe?!" Mayu called as she slowly rose to her feet. "Can anybody hear me?!"
There was no reply from anywhere, and no echo either. It was a very overwhelming experience; like being the last person in the world. Was she?
"This isn't funny!!" She screamed.
There was a low sigh from behind her and she spun around sharply, but there was no one there.
"Who's there?!" She screamed.
"Erjen Kahl," Said a female voice.
Mayu looked around, but the owner of the voice was nowhere to be seen.
"Green eyes, are the gods joking?" Asked the bodiless voice again.
Mayu spun around like a mad person, but there was still nothing.
"Be still, girl!" Barked a strong male voice.
Mayu froze in place as ordered.
"She is like Asmorah said she would be," said the female voice.
"Asmorah is sick and dying. She knows not what she says," the male voice countered.
"Do you speak against her?" The female asked.
"Oh do end this foolish loyalty!" The male snapped. "The goddess is dying and we cannot take her place, but this...this...human child can? It is the stupidest thing I ever heard."
"Please just let me go back to my friends," Mayu begged, tears coming to her eyes now.
"Look, it cries when we have done nothing to it," said the male voice. "This cannot lead anyone anywhere. I say we fling it from the highest peak in Cyron and if it survives, it is the one, but otherwise, it dies and the world is better off for it."
"Silence, Bailos!!" The female voice thundered.
The whole place shook and Mayu ducked in fear, covering her head with her hands.
"Please, I don't know what you guys are talking about. I just want to go home. I'm not even from here. I'm from Earth. Just take me home."
"And Elieh, Sunibe, the others?" Asked the female voice. It sounded like the speaker was standing right before the girl now.
Mayu lowered her hands and looked before her. Someone was there alright. She was so beautiful it could not be explained. Her dress shone red and her skin where it was exposed, glowed white. Her eyes were completely white. Behind her stood an angry man in bright blue suit of armor. At his back was the largest sword Mayu had ever seen. It was at least two times his height and he was at least 7ft tall. His beard was big and so was his hair and both were deep red. Like the woman, his eyes shone bright white.
