I'm gonna keep shitting these out until either I go to bed or I get bitched slapped by a monster cock and die from the impact-

Conan and Gavin were now back at their desks, a silence between them. Gavin had now calmed down since the incident in the bathroom, quietly getting on with his work. Conan was still processing things, trying to figure out why he'd actually felt something when he saw Gavin crying like that. It was even worse since he knew that he was the reason that Gavin was crying in the first place.

"Conan? You okay? You've been spaced out for at least five minutes," Gavin mumbled, now looking at Conan. Conan just nodded in confirmation that he was okay before carrying on with the report.

A time passed and Gavin looked up at the clock, realising how late it actually was now. He finished his typing and shut down the computer, downing the rest of his coffee and standing up. Conan noticed this and finished up his work as well. They left the precinct together and got back into the car.

The drive was peaceful, and thankfully not as awkward this time. Gavin seemed a bit less depressed as well, but not by much. They eventually made it to Gavin's apartment complex, parking the car and getting out, heading up to the fifth floor. Gavin got his keys out and unlocked the door, entering and immediately kicking his shoes off and taking off his jacket, flinging it over to the couch. Conan followed him inside and closed the door, copying Gavin's actions by taking off his shoes and leaving the by the door and taking his big Cyberlife jacket off and folding it neatly and placing it to one side, leaving him in his turtleneck shirt.

Conan looked around, analysing the surroundings. The apartment was rather tidy, apart from the jacket slung over the couch. There was a bookcase, a TV, a couch and an armchair, and a coffee table in the living room. Fairly simple, but nice. There were a few framed photos on the bookcase, Conan went over to look at them. There was one of Gavin with his cats, one of Gavin and himself together, one of Conan with the cats, looking really... happy... was this why Gavin had asked him if he liked cats?

He glanced over towards the kitchen where Gavin was heating up a ready meal in the microwave for his dinner, sipping at a coffee he'd made while he waited. Conan then heard a quiet meow coming from the floor. He looked down to see a very fluffy ginger cat looking up at him, meowing softly. Conan tilted his head and crouched down, slowly reaching out a hand and gently pet the cat, stroking it's fur and scratching behind it's ear. The cat happily rubbed up against his hand, seemingly familiar with Conan. He heard footsteps and glanced up, seeing that Gavin had come into the living room with his dinner and his coffee, sitting down on the couch.

"Heh... seems like you do like cats," Gavin said, a very small smile on his face. Conan looked at him, then looked down at the cat before looking back up at Gavin.

"So it would seem..." he mumbled. He guessed he did like cats, they were very cute. Kind of like Gavin... wait what?

Conan's LED flashed red for a moment, confused by what he'd just thought. He shook his head and just sat down, forgetting about that.

Gavin ate his dinner quickly, watching the TV at the same time. Soon enough, he was finished and he got up, going to wash his plate. Once he was done, he went back to the living room and looked at Conan.

"So um... I'm gonna go to bed," he mumbled. Conan nodded, still petting the cat.

"Okay, Gavin," he said before thinking of something, "Uh, I used to live with you, right? I usually need to go into sleep mode to recharge, where can I do that?"

"...you used to go into sleep mode in my bed," Gavin mumbled with a sigh, "You can do that on the couch though if you want to." Conan shook his head, standing up.

"I would like to rest in your bed if that's okay," Conan said and Gavin instantly nodded.

"O-Okay," he said quickly and went to his room. Conan raised an eyebrow and followed. When he got there, he saw Gavin was already in bed and under the covers, facing away from the middle of the bed. Conan walked over and climbed into the bed as well, facing Gavin's back. From what he could see, Gavin was rather tense, curled up slightly. Conan didn't know what made him do it, but he shuffled a little closer and wrapped his arms gently around Gavin, pulling his back into his chest. Gavin tensed up a little bit more, but soon enough he relaxed, letting out a small content sigh. Conan smiled a little bit and closed his eyes, entering sleep mode for the rest of the night.
