It's midnight, ayyyyyyyyy-

-----------------------------------

Morning soon arrived, sun shining in through the windows. Gavin stirred slightly, his eyes half open, a yawn leaving his lips. He turned over onto his other side and felt his face brush against something soft. He cuddled into the warmth, still half asleep so he wasn't really thinking. Conan was fully awake though, looking down at Gavin who was now cuddled into his chest. He didn't realise he was smiling, his arms were still around the smaller male, holding him tightly. His hand went up and began to play with Gavin's hair, twirling the soft strands around in his fingers.

"...C-Conan?" He heard Gavin mumble. Conan glanced down to see Gavin was a bit more awake now, looking up at him with a blush on his face. He didn't stop messing with Gavin's hair though.

"Good morning, Detective. It's currently 7:18 am, the weather outside is mild with a slight chance of rain," Conan said like he was an automated message or something. Gavin huffed and sat up, moving away from Conan.

"Whatever... can you leave while I get dressed?" he said and Conan nodded, leaving the room and going to the kitchen. Gavin gathered a few items of clothing and flung them on, huffing slightly. He felt kind of stupid to be cuddled up to Conan like that. That wasn't his Conan. His Conan was dead.

He walked out of the bedroom once he was ready and walked to the kitchen. He was surprised to see a coffee already waiting for him.

"I thought I would save you some time and make your coffee for you, Detective. It's how you usually have it, two sugars and an half an inch of milk," Conan said and looked at Gavin. Gavin now had the coffee in his hands, staring down at it with a saddened look which confused Conan.

"Detective? Gavin? Are you okay?" He asked and Gavin nodded slowly.

"...you always used to make me coffees in the morning...before.... n-nevermind, thank you for the coffee," he mumbled and went into the living room, sitting down on the couch. Conan stood there, feeling slightly confused. Did Gavin just get emotional over a coffee? No... there was more to it.

Conan joined Gavin in the living room, standing there as still as a statue. He stood there for a few minutes before Gavin glanced at him.

"Sit the fuck down, you're making me uncomfortable!" he grumbled, already half way down the coffee. Conan did as he was told and sat down on the couch next to Gavin.

Gavin watched the news on the TV for a while before glancing at the clock, deciding they'd better get to work.

"C'mon, dipshit, we should go," he said, standing up and going to get his shoes and jacket on. Conan nodded and did the same, slipping on his shoes and putting his jacket on. Gavin looked at him and cringed.

"I still fucking hate that jacket..." he mumbled before grabbing his car keys and heading outside, Conan following.

The two drove to the precinct and soon arrived, heading inside. They got to their desks and began to shuffle through the paperwork and cases, eventually finding a recent case to go on.

"A few gang members were seen going in and out of a house downtown, we should gather up a few other officers and raid the place," Gavin mumbled to Conan as he read through the file. Conan nodded and sent an email requesting that armed officers meet them at a location not too far from the address of the house.
