It was safe to say that Conan absolutely hated his co-worker. Not all his co-workers though - just one. Gavin Reed, the police detective from hell, he was foul mouthed, rude, arrogant and just an overall weasel. No one in the precinct liked him, but he was still there because he was brilliant at his job. Conan had tried to be polite to Gavin in the beginning, but eventually gave up after the twentieth time of being called 'dipshit'.

Conan was in the break room holding a coffee, smiling as he was having rather a pleasant conversation with Officer Miller. Conan got along with most of the people he worked with and a lot of people liked him in return. Conan was well known for his polite manners and charming attitude, so it was only obvious that he would have a resentment for Gavin. Conan's smile was wiped off of his face as a figure pushed past him, shoving his arm which spilt coffee all over his black turtleneck sweater.

"Watch out, dipshit!" Gavin hissed with a smirk, it was clear he did that purposefully. Gavin seemed to hate Conan more than anyone else in the DPD, always finding ways to bother him. Conan glared at the smug man and placed his, now empty, coffee mug down, sighing heavily as his sweater was now soaked. Miller went to get some paper towels to try and mop up a bit of the coffee.

Conan sat at home on the couch, sighing in content now that he was away from his workplace. Away from Gavin. He honestly hated his job because of that fucking weasel, but it payed well. He decided to get out his laptop and watch some Twitch livestreams to relax a bit. He always enjoyed watching his favourite streamers playing video games.

He clicked on a tab that said who was livestreaming currently, some of them he knew some of them he didn't. Then one thumbnail caught his eye. A very familiar face was displayed there, he clicked on his and his eyes widened. Gavin Reed was a livestreamer. He was playing a Call of Duty game, currently on quite a high killstreak. Gavin looked.... happy. Like, not the sarcastic smirks he would always display at work, but he had a genuine smile on his face. He seemed to be quite a popular streamer as well, 38,323 people were watching his livestream.

"Oh shit, there's a bastard around the corner- fuck yea! Got that little bitch!" Gavin cheered as he shot one of the players on the opposite team. As much as Conan hated Gavin, he couldn't help but watch. The round soon ended and his side won, everyone was sent back to the lobby to prepare for the next round. Gavin then turned slightly  to face the camera more.

"Now for another lobby time storytime," Gavin began, looking directly into the camera. Judging by the comments that were shown on the side of the livestream, this was quite a common part of his streams, " Okay so you all know that I have a major crush on this guy at my work, right? I told y'all that on my last livestream..."

Wait what?

Gavin had a crush on someone at the DPD? Since when? Who was is? Curiosity filled Conan's mind, he wanted to know who it was. Conan guessed that Gavin probably didn't expect anyone from work to be watching his livestreams or he wouldn't have said that.

"Well... I think I've definitely screwed up my chances with him... I'm just such an asshole to him all the time, but I only do it to hide my feelings... I'm always insulting him and saying nasty shit... I even spilt coffee on him today! He looked furious... definitely not one of my smartest ideas to get his attention."

Was Conan hearing this correctly? As far as he knew, Gavin had only spilt coffee on him today... holy shit.

"He's just so perfect, y'know? Oh and don't even get me started on his eyes, fucking hell they're beautiful," Gavin was rambling on and honestly everything he described fit Conan perfectly. The comments were filled with comfort and reassurance, saying that he should try and act on his feelings instead of hiding them. Conan was tempted to comment something himself but he held back. He decided to let this play out, to see how things would go tomorrow.
