Laughing at a dumb joke Corey just made, the group of friends walks into their house, taking their shoes and jackets off quickly. It isn't that late and, while usually everyone would just go do their own thing, tonight, they've planned to watch a movie all together. They haven't had a movie night in so long and in all honesty, they're so happy to finally be together that they wouldn't even mind if they watch movie after movie until they all pass to on the couch. It doesn't take long for them to change into more comfortable clothes and go back downstairs, taking a seat in the movie room, Sam and Colby fighting for the loveseat before Aaron reminds the stubborn boys that they can sit on it together. After a long argument and the three minutes it takes to make pop-corn, the roommates settle for a Fast And Furious marathon and their movie night begins.

The first movie goes by just fine. Corey and Devyn are cuddling and so are Sam and Colby, and they all make small comments from time to time as if they were watching the movie for the first time. They've finished the bowl of popcorn - ahem, Jake and Aaron did because they refused to pass it around, 'leave it for the single people' they said - and soon the second movie starts. That's when people start to get tired, especially Colby who didn't get to finish his night and Jake who had to wake up early this morning. Both end up falling asleep by the middle of the movie and Sam uses the opportunity to pull Colby even closer than it's possible, earning a quiet 'anw' from Devyn, who doesn't stay awake much longer either.

When the second movie ends, the roommates who are still awake silently decide to go to bed. Aaron wakes Jake up while Corey doesn't think twice before lifting Devyn in his arms to carry her upstairs after saying goodnight to everyone. Sam watches them turn the corner and goes to get up, but stops when Colby's grip tightens around him. The blonde lets out a small laugh when his best friend/boyfriend nuzzles his head in the crook of his neck and Sam comes to the realization that he, just like Corey, is gonna have to carry his lover to his room.

Prying the younger boy's arms from around him, Sam rises on his feet with much difficulty before leaning down and scooping Colby in his arms. Sam curses under his breath when he notices the brunette still hasn't gained back the weight he's lost oh so unhealthily. Pushing the thought away, he climbs up the stairs and walks down the hallway until he finds himself in his own room. As he's about to close the door, Colby, who Sam thought was asleep, murmurs jokingly :

   "What a gentleman."

Sam scoffs, kicking the door close before laying Colby on his bed. "You were awake the whole time !"

Colby can't help the smile that spreads on his face and he opens his eyes slightly, lazily nodding his head. "I thought it'd be cute if you carried me."

Sam rolls his eyes but quickly slides under the covers, instantly wrapping his arms around Colby's waist until they're in the same position they were in the living room, which causes a content sigh to escape the brunette's lips.

After a few minutes of silence Sam thinks Colby's gone back to sleep, until the boy lifts his head off the blonde's shoulder to place his hand where his head was, resting his chin on the back of his hand.

   "Why did you swear ?"

Sam frowns, looking down at Colby with confused eyes. "When ?"

   "Downstairs."

Sam pouts playfully, although he knows what his boyfriend means. "I said 'when', not 'where'."

Colby rolls his eyes, laying his head back on Sam's shoulder and tangling his hand with the blonde's that's resting on his hip. "You know what I'm talking about."

"I do." Sam sighs, letting his head fall to the side so that his cheek was pressed against the top of Colby's head. He hesitates a little, searching for the right words so that he goes straight to the point. "Have... Have you been eating lately ? Besides today."

Colby contemplates lying for a few moments, he doesn't want to worry Sam more than he already does and he wants to get better, he truly does, it just never seems to work. Every time something good happens, it has to be taken away from him. That makes him scared to do anything, because he knows that after a day as amazing as today, something will go wrong. On top of that, he's scared that his problems will end up driving Sam away. Sam, on the other hand, wouldn't even think about leaving Colby.

"I've been trying to." He finally answers truthfully, his gaze dropping to his hand intertwined with Sam's. "It's just... harder than it seems."

Sam wishes he could say that he knows, but he doesn't. He's never been in the same place as Colby, so all he can do is show his support to Colby, despite not being able to relate to the boy's pain and struggles.

"One step at a time, Colby. 'You must learn to walk before you can run.'" Sam quotes, earning a small chuckle from his boyfriend. "It's hard and that's understandable, however it's not impossible. All it takes is time and determination. You have a bonus though."

Colby frowns. "What is it ?"

"Someone who loves you and who's willing to help you every step of the way." The blonde murmurs, placing a kiss on the top of Colby's head with a grin. "And the only thing that's impossible here is for you to get rid of me."

"I wouldn't even try." Colby replies in slightly playful tone, relieved that the conversation is getting a bit more light-hearted.

Adjusting his body so that he is even more comfortable, the brunette lets out an appreciative hum and his eyes close, allowing him to drift into a somewhat peaceful sleep with the sound of Sam's soft voice lulling him to sleep.
