Colby wakes up to his alarm blaring from his phone, the device vibrating near his head on the bed. He rolls onto his side, eyes still closed, and blindly looks for his phone until he finds it and manages to turn the alarm off. Dropping his phone back on the bed, the boy grabs his blanket and covers his face with it, the sunlight seeping through his blinds too bright for his liking.

He would've fallen back asleep if it wasn't for the soft knocks on the door followed by a small, familiar voice calling for him.

"Colby ?"

The brunette's heart flutters at this although all that has been said is his name.

"Come in." He tells Sam, uncovering his face and waiting for the blonde to open the door.

When he does, he stands in the doorway, leaning against the doorframe as he takes the time to admire Colby. His cute dimple as he grins at Sam, the smile reaching his still half-asleep blue eyes and his bed hair poking in every direction until he runs his fingers through it.

"Ready ?" Sam asks, tilting his head to the side as he smile at the other.

He can't resist the urge to join Colby so he walks over to the bed and plops down on it, instantly opening his arms for the brunette to crawl into them. Colby nuzzles his face in the crook of Sam's neck, wrapping his arms around his waist as he lets out a content sigh.

"To stay in your arms all day ? Hell yeah." Colby finally replies, letting his eyes fall shut and earning a giggle from Sam who starts playing with his brown locks.

"Sadly that's not gonna be possible, love." The blonde whispers before placing a kiss on the top of Colby's head, unaware of the sudden happiness filling the other's body at the nickname. "Everyone's waiting for us. Well... minus Aaron who we can't get out of bed. I'm pretty sure he played Fortnite until 3AM last night instead of going to bed early like the rest of us."

"Right." Colby laughs, shifting himself closer to Sam, if it even is possible.

Silence falls upon them, both of them enjoying each other's presence, steady breathing and loving arms.

"Sam, Colby, Aaron ! We're gonna miss our flight if you don't get your butts down here !"

Kat's voice echoes through the house as she yells from the bottom of the stairs, her words causing all three boys to laugh, Aaron still laying in bed just like Sam and Colby.

Katrina had forgiven the two boys a little while ago, after they all decided to have a serious conversation about everything that had happened. It was hard, she'd struggled to move on from her relationship with Sam but after she thought about it over and over again, she came to the realization that Sam and Colby were made for each other ever since the beginning and that helped her get over it. As long as they're happy, Katrina doesn't even care about the break-up anymore.

Colby pouts before leaving a kiss on Sam's neck and reluctantly pulling away, slipping out of the boy's grip to head into his walk-in closet. The blonde watches him pick out his outfit and pays close attention to how energetic his moves seem and how rested he looks. The sight never fails to make Sam's heart full. He recalls the last months, it's something he often does to remind himself that Colby's getting better.

Colby's gotten healthier. It took a while, but he's started eating regularly again, sleeping more and going on walks to stay active and get some fresh air from time to time. He found out that long walks help him sort his thoughts out, when he's walking is the time he allows himself to get lost in his mind but the world moving around him would keep him grounded. He's also beginning to open up more easily, not only to Sam but to his roommates and friends as well, and he's more willing to talk about his struggles and pain when needed.
