This Wasn't Supposed to Happen

I went to my room and laid down on the bed thinking about Sam, of course. I can't believe he's not straight, all this time I thought I had no chance and now I find this out. I smiled at that thought and went on my phone to tweet:

I shut my phone off and go to the bathroom to take a shower. I grab boxers and shorts and a towel and walk to the bathroom. I set my stuff down, get undressed and hop in.

I grab my bottle off the top shelf and put some shampoo in my hair. Then I hear a knock on the door. "Colby! I gotta pee!!" Sam yells "You're good!" I yell out and then I hear the door open. I finish my shower and he finishes his business and leaves. 

I put on my boxers and pants and walk out to  my room and grabbed a hoodie and my blanket. I walked out and over to Sam's room. I knocked on the door and asked him if i could stay in his room for the night. He nods and I lay down on his bed, facing the wall wrapped like a burrito. "Everything okay? I saw your tweet and saw some of the replies and wanted to make sure." Sam asks, I shake my head and turn to face him and finally let it all out.

"Shh, it's okay, I'm here, I'm not going anywhere okay? Whenever you need me." He says hugging me tight. "It's all o-of the t-time. N-no matter wh-where I go, even complete str-strangers insult me" I say crying and stuttering into his chest. "I'm sorry, I had no clue. How about I make you a deal? Tomorrow I have to talk to Kat, why don't you go to the store, pick up some things and when I get back we'll have a movie night okay? We'll even build a fort if you want to, okay? I promise I'm gonna help you through it."

He says gripping me even tighter. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and smile into his bare chest. "You honestly h-have no clue how much th-that means to me! Y-you are the only person who has l-listened and hasn't told me to j-just not worry about it a-and that I'm being ch-childish. Even Br-Brennen was harsh about i-it and you know him, but e-ever since he started dating Sky, he's ch-changed." I mumbled/cried still face first in his chest. He kissed the top of my head, "Get some sleep okay?" I nod and finally drift off into a beautiful and much needed sleep.
