Chapter 24: Telling the world

As I open my eyes up, I notice I'm not in my home. To be completely honest I have no idea what am I doing  in a hospital bed. I trail my eyes around the room. There are some flowers on a desk that's next to my bed. I lift my self up and a nurse burst in through a door.

"Good morning sunshine. " She smiles at me and hands me a glass of water. Asking her where am I would be stupid since I can tell I'm in a hospital so I just drink the water and put it down. "I suppose you're a little confused, you're in a hospital and you've been here about 2 days now. " She said to me.

"Two days? What happened? " I ask her and take my medicine from her hand.

"You fainted and for some odd reason didn't wake up, but now you're here and I'm sure your family and friends are happy to know that you are fine. " She added. I know she's hiding something because that's what nurses do. They smile and make sure you think that everything is okay and there's nothing to worry about. Bullshit I call it. 

"So can I go home now? " I ask her. She hesitates for a second.

"Sorry, I think it's better that you stay the night here. You'll get home tomorrow. " She looks trough some papers that I bet are about my clinical state. Then she lifts her look up.

"Oh your friend Matthew is here. Would you like to meet him? He's been waiting for a quite a while. " She asks me. I feel my heart fill in with joy and I push the blanket away from me.

"Yes! He's still here? I need to see him. " I try to get up from the bed but the nurse pushes me back making me to lay down.

"Now now, you stay in bed. I'll tell him to come in. "

I'm alone in my room again. I stare at the door not even blinking, my heart is racing and I feel dizzy again. I'm so happy Matt's here with me, I wonder how long has he been here. The white door opens up and he peeks his head in looking concerned. I give him this huge smile and he takes a chair right next to my bed.

"I'm so happy you're okay... " Matt said and took my hand.

"Don't worry, everything is going to be fine. " I smile.

I was staying at the hospital for monday, tuesday and even wednesday until they finally let me go home. Matt, Sarah and Mariel basically were living at the hospital. They visited me every time there was even a slightest chance. Mariel kept Sarah some company and I'm really happy about that. I know they are super worried and probably tired, I wish there was something I could do but for now I just need to fake a smile and tell everything is going to be fine even though my body is at it's weakest. Sarah is leaving soon, she's been acting weird lately but I believe it's because of this hospital thing.

"Hey Sarah, is everything alright...? " I ask her while she's packing her stuff on my floor. I braid my long hair on my bed. She looks at me and scratches her forehead.

"Umm yeah, everything is cool, " she flashes a nervous smile.

"You sure? " Sarah gets up from the floor, hugs me and we both fall down on the bed.

"I'm going to miss you babygirl. "

"I'm sorry we didn't have that much time, you know I'm so mad at myself and at my body like you came all the way here and I just- " I say but she interrupts me replacing her finger on my lips.

"Stop. Everything is fine, I was hanging out with the guys plus, the most important thing here is that you're safe. Okay? " 

"Oh yeah I forgot! Matt told me you and Cam had little something going on... " I smirk. "Do tell! "

Sarah looks down at her pastel lilac nails and smiles to herself. Cameron and Sarah would be so cute together.

"I'm not too sure about our feelings. I hope everything goes well at the end. " She says and gets up.
