Chapter 29: The past is hunting

So since I made my own hair and makeup, all I had to do was wait. I was texting Cameron asking where is he when someone said my name. I was sitting there all by my self and Matt was hanging out with Kian. I lift my look and see three people standing there. A tall boy and two girls. I lift my eyebrows and stare at the strangers.

"Hi Mia, how are you? "

I have absolutely no idea who is this person asking me how am I doing, but seems like they know me so I politely answer,

"I'm good thanks for asking. " I'm a little surprised to be honest. They all sit next to me, the situation is so confusing and they didn't even tell me their names. Maybe I'm supposed to know who they are, like wow this is such a honor that you come up to me and start talking.

"We saw your video with Matt, it's the cutest thing ever. " She smiles and is looking for agreement from her friends. They seem to agree as well. I smile and look down.

"Thanks, " I simply say. What am I supposed to answer? I'm so awkward I swear.

"So, do you like it here? I know this is your first event. " She flipped her hair.

"Umm... I mean it's been pretty fun so far. " I smile. Actually it hasn't been that fun but I don't feel like telling here that Cameron kissed me, the people at the club last night were being rude and I barely know anyone from here anyways. So I just awkwardly sit there and put on a smile.

"So do you know this girl named Acacia...? " She squints her eyes and tones down her voice.

"Yeah we hung out yesterday. Why? " I'm confused. The girl looks over her shoulder and bites her lip.

"She's like a major slut around here, barely has any friends. If I were you, I wouldn't spend too much time around her. "

I can't believe she just said that, it's not cool to call someone a slut. I'm amazed that she's being so rude.

"What did she do to you...? "

"Well, like she's so fake. She hangs out with guys and is constantly flirting with everyone. Couple of years ago she even posted nudes on the internet. Oh and she's lying like all-the-time. " The girl rolled her eyes. Her back up singers nodded.

"Well don't judge a book based on it's cover. I'm really not into this kind of teenage drama that's filled with pointless rumors. But thanks for the warning. I'll keep my eyes open! " I flash a sarcastic smile at them. I guess she's surprised I don't agree with her so they just slowly get up and she flips her hair yet again.

"Very well then... "

And they walk away.

I really don't care what Acacia did or didn't do, it's none of my business anyway.

Then I saw Cameron standing there and looking at me. I smile and get up. He starts walking towards me.

"Hey. "

I hug him and press my head against his shoulder. Cam gives the best hugs.

"How are you? Nervous? " I ask him. He didn't seem too cheerful.

"I'm fine, not nervous at all. "

"Good... " I sigh. He took a step back when he saw Matt coming. I sad because I feel like our friendship isn't like it used to be, but I think it's going to be this way only for couple of days. We are going to get past this... At least I hope so.

"You're up next! " They yell at me and Matthew. I look at my lovely boyfriend and smile. He kisses me for the last time and then they called out our names. They give us our mikes and we walk out. I almost got deaf. People were screaming and crying and yelling our names. I couldn't stop laughing, it was so amazing. I see two chairs right in front of the crowd, Matt pulls me with him and we sit down.
