I'm shaking. I've never felt like this before, no words can describe how I feel at this very moment. She's gone. My cousin, my best friend is in a coma and something inside me is screaming that she wont wake up anymore. Even though the doctors say we still have some hope... I think we don't. Mia made pretty clear that she wants to go. Even if she would wake up it's not the same anymore.

Mia Brinley will never come out from that hospital again.

I fall on my knees on the ground. I don't care if I'm in the middle of a parking lot. I can't really tell the difference between the rain and my tears, I'm soaking wet because there's a storm in Virginia.  That's why Ben and Darlene are stuck at Kathy's. It's not safe to drive right now.

The doctors told me to go home because it's unlikely for Mia to wake up right now. I can't leave Matt all by himself so I left the hospital crying my eyes out. I press my hands on the ground and cry. Soon I notice lights right in front of me. It's someones car waiting to get past me. I look up and see a woman walking over to me, covering her head with a jacket.

"Hey! Are you alright? " She basically yelled because it was so windy. I can't get a word out from my mouth so I just lean my head on my hands. "You should really get up from the ground! Do you need  help? " 

I look at her and get up still sobbing from the ground. There's nothing left in me.

"No... Thanks I'm fine. " I start walking to my car. 

I sit on my seat throwing my bag on the floor. I lean on my wheel crying my eyes out, I can't believe she's gone. It was raining so heavily that I was scared it would come through the ceiling. I finally get my shit together and start driving. It's really dark outside and I can barely see.

Now the hardest part is to tell Matthew that he was too late. I need to go home and he'll want some answers. 

I stop the car right in front of our house. I can't get up. I just can't go in there and tell him. 

Then I see Jake looking out from the kitchen window. He looks straight to my eyes, my red and puffy eyes that are filled with water. Then he opened the front door and walked out, even though it's pouring rain. I just stare at him without doing anything. Jake opened the car door, I notice I'm still holding on to the wheel. 

"Let's go inside. You'll get sick. " Jake said to me. I'm in shock, there I am just sitting and staring at him. I open my seatbelt and slowly get out from my car. My brother grabbed me by my waist and walked me in, I feel so weak. Right before he opened the front door I grabbed his shoulder.

"Jake, she's gone. " I whisper.

"I know. " Jake looked down. "Oh and by the way, he's sleeping right now. I guess Matt's pretty tired... Should I wake him up or...? "

"No. Don't. Let him sleep. " We walk in to our home. It's so quiet inside. I'm glad Matt's sleeping, he's in a deep sleep without knowing anything...

We sit down in the kitchen with Jake. I look at him, I never had the time to realize the fact that my brother came back after a long while. 

"I'm glad you're back Jake... " I whisper. He gave me a slight smile.

The silence was just horrible. I can't deal with this. Then I heard Matt walking to the kitchen, I look at him and that's when he realized what was going on.
