Chapter 21

It's Friday night and I'm going over to Davina's house for the sleepover.

Issac and Dylan were still mad at me but Stasia said to keep her out of our drama.

I pack up my pillow and sleeping bag and all my cutest outfits since we're going to the mall the next day.

I wanted to text Issac and apologized but he should be the one apologizing same goes for Dylan.

My brother drops me off and walks me in and then says goodbye and drives off.

"Josie is that your brother?" Yasmin asked.

"Yeah?" I said and they all give me looks.

"He's really cute" Lucy says and Yasmin and Davina agree with her.

"Eww he's like 18 he just graduated a few months ago" I tell him and they all laugh and we go to Davina's room.

It was covered with posters of Broadway musicals like Hamilton, Wicked, Cats, and Dear Evan Hansen.

We all sat on her carpet to talk and for some reason everyone wanted to know about Ryan and me.

"Well we kissed probably like 3 or times and last weekend we hung out just the two of us" I tell them and they're all oohing and ahhing.

"So are you guys like dating or something" Yasmin asks and all eyes are on me.

"I don't even know but he's a little clingy" I say and to explain I have to tell us about what happened when we hung out and the next day at school.

"Haven't you all gotten with him though?" I ask.

"Everyone but me" Yasmin says but then I see her looking confused.

"Well we might've kissed I think but I don't remember" she adds and we all laugh.

"How are you and Scott by the way?" I ask her and she laughs.

"Well we're doing fine but I think he and Ryan are hanging out with Lucas and Kane probably playing fortnite or smoking weed" she says and just shrugs.

An image of Ryan smoking were appears in my head and I shake it out.

"Who are Lucas and Kane?" I ask.

"Two stupid hot juniors" Lucy tells me and then pulls out her phone to show me what they look like.

Lucas was black and had green eyes with hair on top of his head but the sides were shaved off.

Kane was Mexican and probably one if the hottest dudes I've ever seen. He had brown hair with blonde highlights and brown eyes.

We all put on our pajamas and begin to play confessions and give each other dares.

"I've cheated off your math test Lucy" I confess and we're all laughing.

"I spied on Dale the hot drama teacher and found out where he lives" Davina says and then we go on the school website where they have all the teacher's numbers posted.

"I dare you to call him asking about the drama homework" I dare her and she covers her face.

"Fine" Davian says and begins to type in his number.

When he picks up we're so giggling and there's loud music in the background.

"Hey who is this?" He asks while we're giggling like crazy.

"Um it's Davina from Drama I was wondering what the homework for the weekend is?"

"To prepare for auditions" he shouts over the music.

"Thanks and do you have a girlfriend" Davina asks.

"No and the answer is no"

"Well okay you're hot see you on Monday" she says and hangs up and we all break into laughter.

"Ooo Lucy I dare you to take Josie's phone and text Ryan and ask him out" Yasmin says and then it goes quiet.

"Josie you okay with this" Lucy asks and I then just hand her my phone.

She goes on snapchat and asks him out for me and we all wait for a response.

After a few minutes of waiting he opens it and begins typing. I feel anxious and then he sends me a message and I take back my phone before anyone can read it.

The paragraph he wrote begins with :

"I would love to go out sometime I think I messed things up by kissing you so soon and for trying to makeout with you practically. But you're sweet and I hope that we could hold hands and go on dates and just be happy so like yeah I want to go out " my heart flutters and I show them all the message and then we all decide to watch Riverdale.
