SHORT CHAPPIE, BUT I'LL EXPLAIN DOWN BELOW
"Are you okay?" I ask him. He's never gotten drunk. Why is he all of a sudden? "Are you drunk?!" I exclaim, outraged. He's not the type to get drunk, especially since his dad was killed by a drunk driver. I hear him laugh, or giggle I guess, but it sounds more like a chortle. "PFFT! No. Why would get drunk? You dont know.me that welllll..." he slurs, dragging out the two 'l's in "well". I groan and stop when i come close to a red light. I hear loud booming music in the background, with screams and cheers.
"Where are you right now? I thought you were with Zack and Alex doing that project?" I run a hand through my loose hair as I pull the elastic, my hair cascading down my back. He laughs. "I'm at this party... and these girls are damn..." he slurs. I hear a girl squeal, followed by a moan, then the line goes dead. I look at this screen and see his picture with the letters spelling, CALL ENDED. The light switches to green and I decide to stop at Stripes to make a call, so I won't get pulled over for using the phone while driving.
The phone rings three times, before a voice comes on. "Yo!" Says Jace through the phone. The same sounds go through the receiver causing me to wince. "Hey, Jace. Do you happen to know anything about a party?" I ask him. I look down and find my attire a bit appropriate. Jeans, sleeveless t-shirt, white converse, my hair down. Meh, I'm fine.
"You know me, I have a party animal as a brother. There's one about a mile north from the stripes on Westgate, Cabriales' house. You comin'?" He asks, as I start driving north. "Yeah. Got a distress call from a friend."
I hear him laugh at the end. "Alright. You need anything, you know where to look." I nod and say good-bye, before finding the house with tons of cars parked outside.
