~Ava~
I saw the new kid turn around. It was Sam. Not much of a shocker considering I saw him get out of his brothers car when I pulled up on my bike.
We walked down the hall and into room D6. "So here's your homeroom. I'll see you at lunch I guess." I said as casually as I possibly could.
He walked into the classroom and the hall was empty now. I did a fist pump in the air and headed to my homeroom. The day went by pretty quick. By the time lunch came around I saw Sam had made a friend so I left it up to him. As soon as the day was over I made it outside and hopped on my bike. I was dreading home.
"Sis, take care of your dog" my older brother Darren motioned to my golden retriever, Mason. "He's trying to eat my magazine"
I whistled and Mason followed me upstairs. I flopped down onto my bed and I heard Mason clawing at the window.
"What is it boy? Is there a strange man next door?" I said sarcastically as I walked over to the window. Sure enough Sam was sitting by the window writing in a notebook. I opened up the window. "Diary?" I said motioning to the book.
"Yes because my secret celebrity crush is x to the square root of 7." he said dreamily, holding up his math homework and putting a hand over his heart.
"What a scandal!" I said sarcastically.
"Well I'll see you later?" I said leaning out of the frame. "In this lovely abode." I said looking at the torn up grass a story below us. I slid my window shut and started my homework. Sam Edwards, I like you.
