I took out a piece of paper. I was writing Ed a letter. A man to man letter. I didn't want Ava to leave. About halfway into the letter I heard a knock at the door. I jogged downstairs and opened it up. It was Ava. I sighed and opened the door. Waiting to hear bad news.
"Sam. We're not moving. They're moving in with us!" she squealed and jumped into my arms. I held onto her and carried her inside.
I carried her over to the couch and I cradled her. Tears of happiness were streaming out of her eyes. I wiped her tears and bent my head so our faces were close. I kissed her and brushed my fingers through her hair. My little Ava Grace was going to stay. She was going to stay here with me. After a while of TV and cuddling we fell asleep.
