~Sam~
I woke up to the sound of my phone going off. I looked at the time. It was 10:30 am. I picked up my phone, hearing my text tone. It was a message from Ava.
Ava: we need to talk...
Me: are we breaking up?
Ava: oh god no but just open up your window.
I saw Ava at her window so I went over to mine and slid it open.
"Sam listen...okay I don't want any buildup because that would just make it worse right?" she started. I could see tears in her eyes.
I leaned out the window and held her hand. "Just tell me. Whatever it is, I will be there fo-" Ava cut me off.
"Sam I'm moving."
"You-yo-you're what?" I stuttered, a lump forming in my throat and tears in my eyes. "To where?"
"San Diego. I'm moving in three weeks."
"Ava Ed's gonna be here soon!" her brother yelled from her hallway.
"Who's Ed?" I questioned, raising my eyebrow.
"My mom's boyfriend" she rolled her eyes. "He's the douche bag we're moving in with"
"Why can't he move here? He doesn't have kids right?" I asked, thinking about the amazing thought of her not moving.
"He has a 16 year old son and a 7 year old daughter." she said as it started to rain.
"And your mom has an 18 year old and a 15 year old." I said back annoyed at this asshole, Ed.
"Ava!" her brother yelled going into her room. "Oh hey you're the shit heads brother" he came and leaned out the window.
"Yeah he is a 'shit head' but I'm not anything like him I promise" I said, not wanting to be on his bad side.
"You seem chill though so I'm cool. If you break her heart I break your leg understand?" he whispered the last question.
"Darren!" Ava shouted.
"No it's fine I understand. Well have fun with Ed" I said making a gross face when I said "Ed"
They both rolled their eyes "Well we won't." Ava said sliding her window down.
I decided to go out on a walk. I saw a black car pull into Ava's driveway. Three people got out of the car. A small seven year old girl and a sixteen year old boy accompanied by a man. Ed and his demons. The sixteen year old had black hair with bangs that hung in front of his face. He looked like a murderer. The little girl had messy brown hair. She looked sweet. Maybe her and Raina could be friends.
"Hey you must be the neighbor Sam!" Ed said as him and his kids starting walking over to me. Shit.
"Oh um yeah that's me, Ava's boyfriend. Who loves her, and she loves me. And doesn't want her to move. Ever. Seven hours away. Even though her life is here." I said clenching my fists.
"Oh you must have heard about the move. Yes it's planned to happen in three weeks so whatever break up thing you have to say to Ava get them over with." he said smirking.
"She's right you are an asshole" I muttered under my breath.
"Excuse me?!?" he screamed.
The raim poured down. I ran down the street and stopped at a corner. I just stood there in the rain and screamed. I screamed until I couldn't scream anymore. I ran back to my house, looking at Ed's stupid expensive black car. I wanted to throw rocks at it and smash in the windows. I decided against it. I just walked up into my room and slammed the door.. As I slammed the door a picture fell off the wall. I picked it up and the glass broke. It was Ava and me on our second date to the frozen yogurt place still in our football uniforms. We both had the yogurt on our face and we were laughing. I remember that the most because we had asked a woman to take a picture of us. We were both smiling and then I threw the fro yo at Ava's face. Then she threw some at mine and we were laughing. I couldn't believe my Ava, my beautiful little Ava was leaving.
