~Ava~
Ed and his kids walked in the door. The boy looked like a criminal and the girl looked sweet but really...crazy at the same time.
"Oh hello you must be Ava!" Ed shook my hand and I pulled away making him frown. "Well then." he muttered. "Oh and you must be Darren!" he exclaimed as my brother slumped in the room.
"Oh you must be Ed" my brother growled under his breath. He looked at me waiting for me to yell at him for being rude. I just nodded my head, letting him know that I hated Ed too.
"These are my children, Zach and Piper. Say hello" he ordered his kids.
"Hey" Zach said, showing no emotion.
"Hi!" Piper squealed and ran up to me, wrapping her arms around me in a tight hug.
I ignored the hug and shook her off of me. Piper frowned and walked back to Ed.
"Darren, why don't you take them to the mall? You can all bond while your mom and I discuss the move." Ed suggested shoving his kids to us.
"Uh sure" Darren rolled his eyes and we all went outside and hopped into his car. Piper sat up front while Zach and I sat in the back.
He turned on the radio. Teenagers by My Chemical Romance played. I tapped my fingers on my knee to the music. Zach looked over at me and smiled.
"What?" I said, annoyed.
"You like My Chemical Romance?" he asked.
"Yeah but we aren't bonding over music so stop trying." I turned my head to the window.
Darren and I talked about this earlier. We had promised each other that we had to make these kids hate us as much as possible so they could help stop us from moving in with them.
"We're just trying to be friendly jeez" Zach scoffed and took out his phone.
"Look it's a Krispy Kreme!" Darren shouted.
"Chocolate glazed with vanilla custard!" Piper and I exclaimed at the same time. We both giggled as Zach and Darren chuckled.
"You two are basically sisters." Zach remarked.
I laughed and was reminded of the move. My smile quickly faded and I turned to the window. In a few minutes we arrived at the mall. It was raining really hard so we had to practically sprint into the door.
"Piper and I are gonna go to the play place and get some ice cream." Darren said as him and Piper took off.
"Well I guess that leaves you and me." Zach said.
"Just you Zach" I said and walked off into Forever 21.
After wandering around the store for a while I finally made it over to the food court. I sat down and got a smoothie. My phone beeped. I got a text from Sam.
Sam: That Ed guy is an ass.
Me: oh my god tell me about it. he sent Darren and I off with his kids.
Sam: Where are you guys?
Me: the mall.
Sam: well when you get back come over. I told your mom we have a school project.
Me: very clever Edwards.
Sam: I am almighty haha well I'll be here
I smiled and locked my phone. I jumped and spilled my smoothie to see Zach sitting in front of me at my table.
"Shit Zach you made me spill my smoothie!"
"I just wanted you to know that we don't want you to move in either. Your house is bigger than ours and Piper and I like San Francisco. I also know that you really like that Sam boy. So we have a plan." he told me.
"I'm listening" I said, interested.
"We are going to try to convince our dad to move to your house. I have no friends or girlfriend that I have to tragically separate from and Piper does online school. We need you to just do things to convince your mom to stay. Like show her the pretty view of the city from the huge tree in your backyard!" he exclaimed.
"Wait how do you know about the view of th-"
"That's not important but we need you and Darren to be in on this plan. Can you do that?" he asked hopefully.
"I'm in" I shook his hand.
