~Ava~
My phone rang. It was Sam. Smiling, I answered the phone.
"Hello"
"Ava what the fuck" Sam said through the phone.
"What?" I asked
"You broke Lucas' nose!" he shouted
I chuckled and replied, "he deserved it he broke your sisters heart."
He laughed, "he broke her heart, you broke his nose. Very clever my little Ava"
"Thank you Samuel"
"Ava Grace"
"You need to stop" I said and laughed.
"I got to go, I have to drive Emily over to Sasha's party"
"Okay then little miss drivers license mc driving pants." I joked, Sam had already gotten his license.
"Very funny"
"Uh Sam?" I remembered what Sasha said.
"Yeah?"
"Drive safe" I didn't want to make Emily even more sad.
"Thanks?" he questioned and I hung up.
I jogged up the stairs and saw that Sam's window was open. I thought about jumping in but shook the thought off and sat down at my desk. I sketched three little elephants as I heard the door open and my mom enter with Ed.
"Honey we're home!" my mom's voice chirped throughout the house.
"Did you buy me any food?" I shouted.
"If Nutella and chips count then yes!" I heard Ed shout back.
I put my pencil down and ran downstairs. My food sat on the counter, so I scooped it up and gave my mom a hug.
"Oh honey by the way, I have very exciting news! A recruiter from Stanford has been watching you at your football games and is interested in giving you a full ride!" my mom shrieked.
I stood there, mouth agape, eyes wide, and I dropped my chips. "A full scholarship? To Stanford? Isn't this a little early? I'm not even sixteen yet!"
"He'll talk with you sometime in your junior year, but Stanford is your dream school!"
"Really? Oh my god I can't believe it!" I yelled, jumping up and down and screaming. "I have to call Sam, Ali, Jess, Tye, Hayden, and....EVERYBODY!" I bolted up the stairs.
I grabbed my phone and scrolled through my contacts, deciding who to call first. I landed on Sam and pressed the dial button.
"Hey Ava, I just dropped her off. What's up?" Sam said.
"You'll never believe this, a recruiter from Stanford has been watching me play football and wants to give me a full ride!" I yelled
"Oh my god Ava that's amazing!"
"I know I'm so excited! I have to go I need to tell my other friends. Love you"
"Love you too" he said softly and I pressed the end button.
I called some of my other friends and told them the news. I checked the time. It was around 9:30 pm. I yawned and slowly fell asleep.
