"We gather today to celebrate this years seniors" the principal said into the microphone.
Ava and I looked at each other from across the aisle. Our brothers were both graduating and going off the college. Ed and his kids had moved into Ava's house completely and they were a big happy family.
After a few hours the graduation ended. We all went out to dinner at Olive Garden. Ed and his kids had accompanied us. We had made our peace with them. I looked over at Ava. She brushed some curls out of her face as she checked the menu. I was so happy to be with her.
None of this would've happened if I hadn't looked
