As I wake up, I feel unfamiliar bed sheets lay against my body. I open my eyes slowly as the bright sun beams into the room. I let my eyes adjust before fully settling into a panic.
This isn't my room. Okay, this isn't even Evan's room.
"Come back, baby..." I hear someone groan from behind me.
My eyes shoot over to the person holding my hips. Zach buries his face into my back.
Wait... I'M NOT WEARING MY CLOTHES. I mean I am wearing clothes but they're not mine.
My breathing quickly grows into fast and short breaths as I begin to settle into a panic.
Suddenly, Zach pulls me down next to him. He rubs my back soothingly. He plants a soft kiss on my forehead.
"Calm down, Marla. My sister Kayla changed you and put you in my clothes. I didn't see anything and nothing happened," he murmurs against the pillow. His eyes are barely open, but I can still see a leak of those beautiful brown eyes I love looking at.
"Why didn't I sleep with her then? Or even on the couch?" I ask, still calming myself down.
"Because I wanted you instead of my pillow. You're softer anyway. And a lot nicer to hold." Before I can say anything else, Zach kisses me gently before burying his face into the crook of my neck. "Now shush. I wanna sleep."
I blush.
"Fine," I whisper, smiling as I snuggle into Zach. His arms tighten around me, his messy hair tickling me.
I turn around so that he's spooning me which seems to be a really comfortable spot for Zach. I laugh quietly as I close my eyes and let the calm wash over me.
