Evan is practically bouncing off of the walls as soon as I finish telling him the whole story. He bounces around the room and starts rummaging through my closet.
"Hey, hey, hey, mister! I never said you could pick my outfit!" I laugh as I bounce on the bed over to him. Evan turns to me and rolls his eyes playfully.
"If I let you pick your own outfit, the date would have to be postponed until next week," he says before poking me on the nose.
I roll my eyes before flopping onto my back.
After a few minutes of stupid jokes and conversation, Evan finally pops out of my closet with a big smile.
"Okay. So we've got a nice flowery sundress and some sandals. And you are letting me curl your hair." I nod gratefully, wrapping my arms around him. Evan returns the hug.
"Awww. You're welcome. I love you, Mars." I pull away from him as I nudge him out of my room.
"I love you too, but I need my privacy for like two seconds," I say before ushering him out. Evan gives me a sweet smile before closing the door.
"As you wish, madam."

I let out a strained breath as my heart beats a hundred miles a minute. I nervously twirl my hair around while checking that I have everything in my bag.
After checking for the umpteenth time, I hear someone shuffle over to me.
I pray to god that it's not some crazy guy, and, thankfully, my prayers have been answered. I look up and down at him as my cheeks flush brightly.
Zach's in a loose button-down shirt with a pair of cargo shorts. His hair is messy but in the hot kind of way. His genuine smile tears up my stomach and ties it into knots. His cologne smells so good.
Zach slowly walks towards me, a nervous smile painted on his lips.
"You look beautiful," he whispers as he takes my hand. I give him a quick peck on the cheek.
"Thank you. You do too." I smirk slightly as he mocks fake hurt. He dramatically places his hand on his chest.
"Me? No, princess. I think you've got the wrong guy because I'm hot, not beautiful." I roll my eyes, smiling at how ridiculous he is. I lean up towards him as he gently puts his hands on my hips.
"No... I've got the right one," I softly whisper.
Zach lays a soft kiss on my lips as he pulls me towards him. His minty and fresh scent surrounds me. If I had to breathe this everyday, I would.
"Are you sure I can't just take you home and keep you all to myself?" he whispers, kissing my jawline. I step into him just to encourage the thought that I'd go home with him.
I shake my head.
"Nope," I reply. I pop the 'p' loudly.
He shrugs as if to say "I tried." Zach bends down and softly plants a kiss against my lips. His gentle lips guide me into a sense of safety that I've never felt before. But before I can get a healthy dose of Zach, I reluctantly pull away.
His eyes flash with worry and panic. He backs off a little bit before asking, "Did I do something wrong? Is everything okay?" He genuinely looks panicked.
I gently intertwine my fingers with his. I laugh before giving him a quick peck on the lips. He seemingly calms down a bit.
"No, you didn't do anything wrong. I just wanna ride the rides before the whole carnival closes." Zach nods and chuckles as he leads me into the carnival.
Zach pays for my ticket, buying us a bunch of tickets to get on rides. We ride a totally healthy amount of rides and get as much carnival food that could fill us up.
I lick my fingers as I throw away the plate the funnel cake was on. I turn towards Zach who's looking at me weirdly.
"What?" I question.
He just laughs before pulling me into a long and passionate kiss. His lips feel like heaven against mine and I can only wish I'll always have this.
"Nothing." Zach smiles brightly as he kisses my nose.
I laugh as he holds me against him as tight as he can. I melt into his arms, hearing his heart beat quickly against his chest. He murmurs something above me that I didn't catch.
I look up to him.
"What?" My eyes twinkle with amusement as he pulls me down onto his lap. I'm directly over his crotch which makes my heart race even more. I throw my arms around Zach's neck.
He brushes a stray piece of hair away from my face.
"You're the hot and beautiful one." I bend down and brush my lips against his.
I connect a long and soft kiss, tangling my hands into his soft brown locks of hair. The curls feel so soft in my hands. I feel Zach's hand tangle its way into my hair as his other hand holds my hip.
The soft chirp of seagulls is the last thing I hear before melting away.
