"Be my girlfriend, Casey Smith," Kaden said, earning a surprised look from me. Is it just me or does that not sound like a question but more like an order?

Wow, I mean, I know I'm hot and everything but I didn't expect him to fall for me this quick. I guess it's in my genes.

I get out of his hold and back away. "Are you crazy?" I ask him and point to my head, "Do you have a few loose screws?"

He roll his eyes at my question and step closer to me. "I want to hire you to be my girlfriend."

I back away as he steps closer, giving him a quizzical glance. "So you're saying you'll pay me to be your girlfriend?"

He nods his head yes.

I scoff at him. "What is this? Girlfriend for hire?"

"$20 for every hour that we're together." He raise an eyebrow, waiting for my response.

"$30." I shake my head in refusal, "No, wait."

What am I doing? I can't seriously be considering this. But he wants to pay me to be his girlfriend. I mean how bad can it be to be Kaden Pierce's girlfriend? I'm getting pay to spend time with him. This is every girl's dream job: getting pay to hang out with a hot guy.

I make up my mind. "$35 per hour," I insist.

He narrow his eyes at me before agreeing, "Fine."

He held up his hand to seal the deal. I grab his hand and shake on it. I may just have seal the deal for my death certificate.

"And start!" Coach blow his whistle, officially starting the game of dodgeball.

I hate this game. I'm not good at running away from the ball. I always somehow seem to be running towards the ball and get hit even when I'm running away from it.

Good thing everyone here knows I'm not good so they don't really try to get me until I'm the last few students standing. Still, I eye the balls flying at us and try to stay out of their way.

I notice Kaden making his way to me while dodging the ball, so I stare at him in confusion. This is the only class we have together but he never talks to me. Why is he making his way to me, especially right now when we are in the middle of a freaking dodgeball match.

"I need you to come with me somewhere Saturday," he said once he's next to me.

I look away from him to focus back on the balls flying everywhere. "I can't. I have work."

"Do I have to remind you that you work for me too?"

I turn to him, "My other job is more important than being your fake girlfriend." He glare at me. It looks like he wants to kill me right here right now.

I give in, scared of him. "Fine. I'll see if I can find someone to cover my shift for me."

I notice a ball coming my way so I jump to Kaden's side, dodging the ball. My shoulder brush against his and I move away.

"Where are we going anyway?" I asks, curious.

I watch as he quickly dodge a ball thrown at him. I didn't even see that ball coming. He has quick reflexes.

"To meet my parents," he answer calmly like it's no big deal. I pause in my spot and give him a shocked look at his response.

My expression is turned into a confused one when Kaden suddenly grab my hand and jump in front of me, coming face to face with me.

I watch in shock as a ball hits Kaden's back. That's when I realize he was shielding me from the ball.

"Kaden's out!" Coach yell, announcing it to everyone

"Kaden's out!" Coach yell, announcing it to everyone.

I look at Kaden to see him smirking and arch an eyebrow cockily like the overly confident guy he is.

He lean in towards my ear and whisper, "You're welcome." I stay quiet as he let go of my hand and walk out of the court.

That narcissistic jerk wants me to meet his parents? We haven't even gone on a first date yet, not that I want to, but how can I meet his parents already?

Out of the blue, I feel a shot of pain on my shoulder, snapping me back to reality.

"Casey's out!" Coach yell, making me realize I got hit. Who the hell threw the ball at me? It hurts like a bitch.

I walk out of the court and go to Kaden at the bleachers. "What do you mean meet your parents? Why would I meet them? Why should I?"

He sighs in annoyance. "Because I'm paying you."

His response shut me up right away because he's right. He is paying me to be his girlfriend.

"But..." I trail off. I don't have any excuses.

Coach blow his whistle. I turn to him. "Gather around!" He yell out and everyone starts walking to him. I notice Kaden walking pass me so I look at him to see him flashing me one of his signature smirk before walking to Coach.

I guess I should start acting like his girlfriend.
