Scarlet Price: The Forgotten

Chapter 4

Third Person POV*

The next morning Scarlet awoke with pain covering her body, a dry throat, and a knock on her door. Getting up, she rapped a small blanket over her shoulder's as she walked down the stair's of her one person house and to the front door. Scarlet had know idea who it was because for some reason she couldn't smell out her nose but also had no memory of what happened after going out with the vampire's last night. On the other side of the door Alex patently waited for Scarlet to open the the door as he felt her coming. Scarlet looked in the peek hole only to be met with the eye of Alex as he looked back at her.

"Sweetie you gonna let me in yet? It's kinda chilly." It was about that time for football season to start by now and he wasn't joking, Alex wasn't meant for the cold but he was built in it.

"Why should I do that?" Scarlet smiled before she opened the door anyway only to see him on the other with hands on his hips making a sassy face before he gasped and pushed her back in the door as he ran in and shut it before looking back at her lightly grabbing her shoulder's.

"Sweetie what have they done to you?!" He did yell like he wanted to but rather his voice came out a loud whisper, the witch boy was at a loss for words. Alex took his hands off her and took a set back looking her over he couldn't decide on being mad, sad, worried, upset or scared. Alex didn't no but but it was all there but the growing fear he hand was of Kai.

"He is going to be so...pissed."Alex was starting to freeze as he covered his mouth a little with slightly wide eyes.

"Who is Ali? What is the problem?" Scarlet asked but he didn't say a word as he made a full body mirror appear in front of her. She was covered in bruises on her arms, collar bone, legs, and back not to mention the scratches on her arms and hands, a small cut to the side of her neck and the cuts she found on her back as she turned to look causing them both to gasp.

"Sweetie are you gonna go to work?" Alex wasn't sure if she would face her mate for his anger may get the best of him and his dragon. Scarlet was just as unsure as she continued to look at her self in the mirror.

"If I tell him they did this and that I can't remember anything from last night after we left then he will be mad...If I don't tell him and he finds out then he will still be just as mad but what will make him jump is if he finds out you knew and didn't tell him Alex he may try to kill you for knowing." Scarlet glanced at Alex but he was now beyond paralyzed with fear of that dragon.

"His clan or pack people...the ones that come in the cafe is going to try and kill me to if he don't do it first..." Alex was speaking sow and fearful until he looked at Scarlet who was looking at the mirror again before he made it disappear and smiled a little as she turned to look at him with empty eyes. Scarlet always smiled but it never did reach her eyes. The only reason it is starting to look real is because he knows that Kai is getting in her heart little by little, Alex just can't tell how long Scarlet and Kai is going to keep fighting each other he fear's that if they don't tell the other their feelings soon, Alex fears that something bad will happen and they never will.

"Ali can you use your magic?" Alex smiled as he cracked his hands and put them to her.

"One witch godmother at your side sweetie." Using his magic, Alex cleaned her up covering her wounds and got Scarlet ready for work all in seconds.

"Thanks Ali."

As Scarlet and Alex came into the back door Kai and the others was walking in the front. After they all started hanging out, Kai would come by right at the moment they was getting ready to open the cafe. Everyone helped set up the chair's and reading area before Max and the others hit the gaming room while Kai would stay out in the main area with Scarlet unless he called them. While the other went straight to helping Genie set up, Kai smelled the air before heading to the kitchen with a smile growing. Just beyond the kitchen Alex and Scarlet was in the office about to head out the office when she stopped him.
