Chapter 19

Scarlet POV*

As dawn came and the sun started to shin I stood at the window looking out at the grounds around the castle. The morning was beautiful and it wasn't a dream of me coming back to Kai and our twins. Looking over my shoulder, the dragon king I call mate was in fact still fast asleep laid out in the bed we shared many times in the passed before the twins was born. Even with the beautiful early morning sun and the sight of my peacefully sleeping mate I couldn't bring my self to enjoy any of it.

"I want you to turn me Scar."

How could he even think of asking me something like that. I didn't ask to be a vampire and some times I don't want to be yet he tells me if he is ever at a unchangeable death to change him into a vampire. I know I wouldn't be able to do that to him and he have to spend the rest of his undead life drinking blood. I can't even.

"Dragons live long enough so I refuse. Stupid dragon." I mumbled to my self before putting on my shoes and heading down stair's to the kitchen having already got dressed. Once down stir's I could feel the whole castle was still asleep so making coffee I decided to get a little breakfast started with a little quiet music so I wouldn't wake anyone. Tucking the long hair behind my ears I washed my hands and got started. Getting lost in the music, I danced while cooking and got out plates for the other's and glasses for their drink's. I couldn't unhear what Kai told me but I could forget for a little while. As I danced to the music playing I finally finished cooking and fixed everyone a plate and smiled satisfied with my self I turned around to go call the other's with a cup of fresh coffee in my hands only to jump as clapping started and I saw everyone behind me before screaming as the cup fell from my hands as I covered my mouth and the cup broke splashing the hot liquid on my self.

"Shit!" I yelled jumping back looking at the cup then sending a glare at everyone as Milia, Emil, Kai, and Ace come over to me.

"Are you okay baby?" Kai asked me pulling me away from the mess and pulling me up on the counter patting down my legs with a cool rag one of the twins passed him while the other's helped clean up the literal hot mess.

"Im not okay, you guy's scared the hell out of me and I spilled hot coffee." I said looking down at Kai and he chuckled.

"Sorry." Everyone told me and I shook my head at them as the twins stood behind Kai.

"Sorry mom but we couldn't help watching you dance you was amazing." Xanthe told me smiling as I looked at her then at Kai again.

"I heard someone mention something like that before." Kai grinned at my words not looking at me yet.

"Then that means you are Scar. How does your leg's feel?" He asked me and I sighed taking his hands as he got back up and helped me down.

"Im going to change and be back, you guy's feel free to start without me." I said already seeing Max putting food in his mouth mumbling something about the food being bad ass causing me to laugh. Flashing back into Kai and I room I walked into the closet to find another change of clothes only to sigh not seeing anything left in there an realizing I would have to go back to my house.

This is a biscuit.

Groaning, I sucked it up and flashed over to my house that was very much still clean just the way I left it having no doubt one of the guy's kept it up for me or did it recently. Grabbing a dressy shirt and leggings I washed again then changed putting my hair half up before grabbing more clothes to take back to Kai's. As I checked my bag I stopped as a scent entered my nose and I heard the floor creek.

"What do you want?" I asked standing still as I smelt another vampire.

"Your not as slow as the other's said you was but then again you did drop off grid for sixteen years locked away so im told. The boss wants you back. You can come willing or I can have some fun roughing you up a little or you know...someone else." I turned around to see the woman that tried freezing me in the pond at the park with Milia, Emil, Alex, and Genie. I showed her my red eyes and fangs with a dark smile.
