Chapter 8

Kai POV*

I got pissed off dropping my mate like that and I probably wont forget the disbelief on her face when I really left her go. She might get pissed with me later. I was so proud of her when she stopped mid air, it was more like levitating but it still worked and she looked so happy until some angry guys face flashed in my mind or rather her mind. I tried to get to her but she was too far away and transported just before I could get to her. Scarlet held so much fear I couldn't tell her's from mine as she left me. As soon as she left I could feel mind links at the back of my head. I could feel her trying to get to a safe place but it felt like her power's wouldn't let her. As I landed shifting outside the castle, spots covered my vision causing me to stumble as I tried to steady my self but was held up by Ace.

"Kai are you alright? What happened to the princess we ran into her and she didn't look to good." He asked letting me go as I pinched my nose with a deep sigh.

"More like she ran into us. She just appeared then ran off up to your room locking the door." Emilio said rubbing his head.

"Thanks guys and that is what im about to go find out my self." Leaving them I went up to our room and unlocked the door before slowly walking in. My little mate was already scared, busting in the room would just scare her more. Smelling the air I tilted my head in question as I found my mates scent coming from under the bed. Why was she there and how the heck she get there? Pulling out my phone, I got on the floor with the light and found Scarlet unconscious curled up in my jacket. Sighing I set my phone down and carefully pulled her from under the bed and laid her on the bed.

"Scar? Wake up baby it's Kai." As gentle as I could I shook her shoulder only to get the reaction I was trying to avoid. Slowly her eyes opened but the second she realized she was being touched, Scarlet's eyes blazed and she jumped from the bed flashing across the room in less than a second. Her eyes was glazed and she didn't seem fully awake or focused.

"Kai...I need to get to Kai. Damn it why wont my brain focus!? I can't see!" Groaning in pain Scarlet pulled harshly at her own hair as she argued with her self.

"Scarlet? Im here, im right here so you came relax." I got up slowly walking over to her and eased her hands from her hair as she looked up at me with wide red eyes.

"Kai found me? No it's not real I was hiding. Waiting...For what? I can't remember what happened after I left with Kai. Why!?" Unable to watch, I put both hands to her face making her look at me.

"Im right here baby. You see me, feel the tingles, our bond? You can calm down im here." The glow died in her eyes as they stayed wide feeling my hands brush her face. I couldn't understand what was happening but I could feel her panic and fear. I didn't move as she reached out a hand but she stopped. Getting the idea of me having to use skin contact to convince her. I let go of Scarlet and shamelessly pulled off my shirt before hugging her. Scarlet was stiff a few moments then rapped her arms around my back with a sigh. Her skin felt colder and her body was shacking in my arms.

"If you need blood you can drink some of mine mate. Come on, talk to me...Scar?"

"I don't know what happened. All I know is me flying is... bad. I can't remember why...Hell I couldn't see, hear, smell or feel anything...I still can't see that good every thing is fuzzy." She still seemed...unstable?

"What about now?" I asked looking down at her. She looked up at me and her head tilted giving her an even more attractive look in my eyes.

"Your still a little blurry but I have your scent... I know your touch from anyone else's. Everything is coming back clear but I still can't completely see." I sighed but nodded.
