Chapter 10

Max POV*

The drive to was silent and very uncomfortable. I ended up in the front with Alex where my mate should be sitting because she wanted to sit with Genie and talk but as I drove it was silent and both  them was looking out the window with head phone in.  When I pulled up to the I sighed in relief.

"Finally." I said as I parked the car and we all got out.  The snow on the ground was up o our ankles.

"Come on you two." Maxi said as she came to my side taking my hand looking at Alex and Genie as we walked to the big building.  He reached for her hand but she was already walking away with ear phones still in.

'This is going to be a long day.'  I told Maxi in the link and she nodded.

Scarlet POV*

As I walked out Bath & Body works I noticed a few familiar face walking into the main building door on the first floor of the four level building.

"What are they doing here?" I asked my self as I glanced to Alex and Genie who was a lot more distant looking than they normally was. Pretending not to notice them I made my way to the elevator but stopped as yelling started.

"Alexander I will kick you in the balls if you lay another finger on me!"  Genie yelled as she glared at him while I pinched the bridge of my nose closing my eyes with a sigh.

"Genesis Jones." I said and as I looked at them, I saw her go stiff before she looked around and saying something to Max, Alex, and Maxi who all looked confused as I rolled my eyes and got in the elevator going to meet them.  As I stepped out I saw them making their way over.

"Lettie-" Genie started when I walked up to them but I cut her off with a flick to her forehead.

"Genesis Jones, why was you yelling at Alex for?  Your choice of words was questionable to." I said as Alex went to hug me but stopped as I shot him a look.

"Apparently, Mr. Magic Man is my mate and didn't say anything."  She said crossing her arms. When ever she called him that she was normally being sarcastic and smart.

"I already quite.  Look guy's play nice and figure it out on your own. For once you two are clipped so Alex stop looking at me."  He was giving me a look that was asking me to help him but I couldn't.

"Lettie wait."  Alex said as I walked passed them.

"I would say text me how it goes but I really don't wanna know about you two having make up sex later."  I said before someone grabbed my shoulder and I stopped.

"Scarlet stop, about Emilio."  Maxi said and I clinched my fist.

"Maxi you really don't want to do that.  I already know Emil is afraid of me and Kai isn't the happiest person with me right now or his dragon so im giving them time to settle down."  I said glancing back and shaking off her hand as I started back walking when I noticed Kai run threw the main door and sighed rolling my eyes shooting her and Max a glare while they grinned apologetically.

"Scar!"  His voice yelled and I could feel my chest tighten as her ran over to us.

"I'll kick your ass latter you two.  I don't have time for this."  With that said, I transported home.  Heading up to my room I put my new holiday lotion an my dresser with matching body wash.  As I walked back down the step's humming a song that popped into my head I went to the loving room and hooked up the Bluetooth to my phone with my stereo letting random music play while finishing fixing up the room.  As a up beat song came on I started to dance around the room with a ballerina spin into the kitchen smiling to my self when I saw something out my window.  Stopping with a stumble I tripped over my kitchen chair falling back as I looked again and hissed holding my ribs as they hit a chair leg with a curse under my breath.  When I got back to my feet a large cat like eye was looking back at me in the window and I screamed being startled again.  Not taking the time to register the eye I ran out the kitchen and hid behind a wall not seen from the window's.
