Prom

"Skylar... what are you doing for prom?" Mr. Felix asks

"Oh... I'm not going" I carry on eating my chips.

He's already told me to stop but lol, who listens to him

"Because she hasn't got a date" Rachel shouts

"No because I'm not a girl that loves dances and dresses. I prefer eating and sleeping" I look at her

"We can tell..." she looks down at me.

One way to piss me off is my body, I hate my body. I can't stand it.

I put the chips down, grab my bag and walk out the classroom

I walk down the corridor and go into the music room. No ones ever in there during class times.

I sit down and start texting Jacob to pick me up.

He's going to LA next week. Gonna miss him.

"Sky, What are you - who hurt you" Jack walks in with his guitar and vocal coach

He's got into the music industry and his voice... wow. I've a talented best friend

Jacks also going to LA. He's going on tour with a bunch of boys. I'm happy for him because he's always wanted to travel. I have no idea who the boys are though.

Prom this year is on our birthday. He's turning 16!! Which is... crazy. I'm turning 15.

"No... I'm just leaving" I put my phone back in my pocket and stand up

"Oh, now that you're here... I was gonna ask you at lunch but seeing as you texted Jacob to pick you up I'll ask you now" he looks at me "Wanna be my date to prom, as friends"

I mean, I could prove to everyone that I'm not a weirdo. I'll have to go a little out my comfort Zone but sure

"Course... come round later" I hug him and skip off

I got to the entrance and seen Jacobs car pulling up

"Ms Fitzgerald you're supposed to be in class" the woman in the office says

Jacob walks in and we were all just staring at each other "Bye" I skip off to his car

"What happened now?" He asks

"I'm going to prom with Jack" don't wanna talk about the Rachel situation

"Cool, now what's wrong?"

"Rachel basically called me fat" I mutter

"You're not fat, Sky. Don't listen to her. She's just jealous that you're actually pretty and have natural beauty and don't have to cover yourself in 10 tons of makeup every day" he laughs

Jacob and I are close. Most sibling fight and argue but we're so close, we just forgive each other straight away.

He's going to LA to own a business that sells cars. He's already a boss at 19 which is amazing and next year he's looking to own it.

"But she's called me fat and ugly so many times I'm starting to believe it" she literally makes me feel like shit, all the time.

"Don't listen" he sighs

"It's hard not to listen when it's said all the time" I crack my knuckles

He gives me a smile and drops me off at the house

"Hunny what happened" Mom worries when I walk in with Jacob

"Rachel happened again, Jack wants me to go prom with him... proms tomorrow. I need a dress" I move my lips to the side of my mouth
