FOURTY-NINE

I'm sleeping on the couch with Jack on top of me. We couldn't be bothered to walk to my bedroom so we stayed on the couch.

It's 9am and my baby brother will not stop crying.

The living room door opens "oh..." it was Michael "you know your mom doesn't know you're here yet, she's at a breakfast with Kristen and my mother, you should surprise her" he was holding Harry, who was still crying

"Jack, bubs get off me for a second" I tap Jacks back. He gets off me and I stand up, taking Harry off Michael. He started to calm down so I sat back on the couch, jack sat up and greeted Michael and everything

"She's gonna be home in a couple minutes... where's your guys suitcases I'll take them upstairs for you" he smiles "want breakfast?"

"No, Michael. Thanks" I smile

Jacob walks down shirtless "Hey Michael" he hugs him "where's mom"

"She's out, she'll be back soon with this lovely surprise" he nods

"My girlfriends upstairs sleeping..." Jacob blushes

"Awk, Lauren's gonna freak out when she sees y'all... all grown up and everything" he laughs

"I'll go get maddie" Jacob jogs back up the stairs

"How's moms business doing?" I put Harry in his cradle

"Very good actually, she's starting to open up shops all around the USA now"

"That's good, how about you, how are you holding up" Jack was drifting off.

"I'm doing good... my little baby blessed my life so I've been taking time off work but I go back in a couple weeks" he smiles "and you, Lauren told me you're modelling for some big companies soon" he sits on the armchair

"Yeah..." I push my finger to my lip, point at Jack. He doesn't know yet.

Michael laughs and Madison and Jacob come downstairs "Madison meet Michael, he's my moms fiancé, Michael, this is my girlfriend Madison" Jacob introduces them

"Lovely to meet you" Micheal shakes her hand "Jacob how's your business doing?" He looks at Jacob

"It's going good, employed some new people before I left, we're getting a bigger building soon too" Jacob walks over to Harry.

"Maddie this is Harry my baby brother" I want Jacob and Madison to get married

She smiles and Jacob sits on the armchair, pulling her down onto his knee. Only because Jack was taking up all the room on the couch.

"Baby, wake up" I shake his shoulder

His eyes open slowly and he smiles when he sees me "hello Micheal" he sits up properly

"Hey Jack, how's your band" he laughs

"It's good, we're on a break right now for a couple weeks, did something with Macklemore the other week, uhhh... yeah. Hopefully gonna tour Asia again" he yawns

"That's good, Madison what's your job.." he questioned saying that

"I'm a singer too" she smiles

"Awk that's lovely" Michael stands up, peering through the window "Lauren's here" he claps

Jacob moves with madison to the couch and it just looked like Michael was reading a newspaper and Harry was sleeping

I hear the front door close "Michael, love I'm home" I couldn't ever get tired of my mother's voice
