TWENT-EIGHT

Jacobs POV
"She's fine, mom please stop worrying" I say into the phone

Sky's been in hospital for 2 weeks. She can't walk. She's been pushed around in a wheelchair.

I feel bad for her. She can't surf for another 6 months. That's heartbreaking for her.

She fractured her tail bone and broke a leg, resulting in her not being able to walk.

But the scars over her body are the worst. There's a dent in her skin from the car wheel.

She's still beautiful but she's just not the happy Sky we all used to know

Moms on a plane here with Michael and dad while Michaels mom is looking after Harry.

She's awake right now, eating her lunch.

She hasn't really eaten much because of the medication she's on.

Jacks here too. I didn't know that them two were nearly a thing.

She's happy with Jack. I like that. Zach visited earlier though and wasn't too happy that Jack was holding her hand.

I don't like Zach and he's bad for her. I'm glad she's getting over him.

My business has been on hold for a while but my secretary just put it back on. 

There's a lot of people wishing Sky better but unfortunately we still haven't found the culprit involved with the Hit and Run.

Sky's determined to get them in prison. She doesn't even care about the fact she literally can't walk. It's the fact she's not allowed into the ocean.  

I hang up the phone call with mom and look at her. Jacks helping her eat. She has a massive bruise and cut on her shoulder that makes it difficult to lift things up.

She can hardly lift her phone up.

A nurse walks in and gives Sky her daily medication. I think today's the day she's gonna get released.

"Jacob?" The nurse looks at me

I stand up and slide my phone into the back pocket of my pants.

"Just sign here and here and Skylar can be released" She gives me a smile

I sign them and Jack and I start packing everything up.

Jack helps her into the wheel chair.

She hasn't spoken a full sentence to any of us. Well I'm not sure if she had with Jack whenever they're alone but to me she hasn't. She says monotone replies with the nurses but nothing major.

I believe she is still in shock on what happened.

"You good" Jack asks her

She nod and didn't look good. She looked cold

"Are you cold" I raise an eyebrow

She nods her head and Jack takes his hoodie off. She puts it on slowly and carefully.

"Thank you" she clears his throat.

He smiles and we start walking to our car.

It took a while and struggle to get her into the back of the car but we managed it

Jack got beside her and I was in the front by myself.

I seen them whispering things quietly to each other.

"Sky do you want some proper food?" I ask

"I'm good" she has to keep clearing her throat before she talks.
