A couple of days have passed, Moon and I are in Ula'Ula Island, ready to take on the the third grand trial.
We are very happy together, training and kissing like there's no tomorrow. We are in Malie City, a Johto and Kanto inspired place. It has nice buildings, just like Ecruteak City and a mock Gym based on Kanto.
Another thing based on Kanto is the city garden's golden bridge, which trainers use to train.
We decided to take a look and went there. Today, I'm wearing a grey t-shirt with an Umbreon pattern, Moon insisted to buy me one after we visited the city's cloth shop. She on the other hand, is wearing a Pikachu shirt, one of her favorite pokémon. Hmm, who else has a Pikachu with him all the time, I wonder what is he doing.
Once we arrived at Malie Garden, we could hear a small crowd cheering an ongoing battle.
"Go Yen! use your fiery fangs!" a boy shouted, Moon and I got closer to see what was going on.
The boy, who wore a stripped shirt, was using a Torracat and an Alolan Meowth to battle a dark green-haired boy.
"You can do this Raichu, Dartrix!".
The battle went on until there was only their alolan starter pokémon standing.
"Now, use Flame Charge!", The Torracat rushed against the owl pokémon. It was a critical hit! Dartrix fell down and the stripped-shirt guy resulted victorious.
The green haired boy said: "Gee, Sun, good battle, this opened my appetite, care to join me for some good ol' malasadas?".
"No thanks, I'm still pumped, I want to stay and battle more!" replied the boy who's name was Sun.
"K'! I'm going ahead!" his green-haired friend said, before heading out of the garden. "See you soon Hau!, or should I say, see you sun!? pwahaha!" Sun laughed, the crowd giving him a concened look, it was a bad pun.
"Hey you!, yeah you, the serious guy next to the girl who apparently likes Pikachu a lot, I challenge you!" Sun pointed his index finger at my direction.
"Do it Gladdy! show him what you are made of!" Moon said giving me a peck on the cheek.
"Hehe, very well" I responded.
"So, you are Sun huh? I'm Gladion, and I accept your challenge!".
"Excellent! then here I go!" Sun said, taking a Wishiwashi out.
