"Brother!" I hear Lillie call me from downstairs "look at all this presents!!" she screams joyfully.
It was the day to open the presents that Santa Claus left under the tree, and all the family was there. Finally both our parents were together with us again, sure, they still had work, but it wasn't as before, now they made sure to have time for us.

I woke up, wearing my Silvally pajamas mom had knit for me and went to be with everyone.
With just a glance on the window you could see snow falling and sparkling little snowflakes.
While watching the snow, I felt happy and at the same time a faint image of a smile came to my mind. I shook my head and returned my attention to my family, sitting in the living room opening presents.

The rest of the day was awesome, for a moment I felt free, free of guilt and responsibilities, I felt prepared to protect my sister, my mother and my father.
I was happy.

But everytime happiness invaded me, so did that image, the image of a smile, but whose?
I played with Silvally in the snow, Lillie had the idea to do a snowball fight, so mom, dad and I got into the action.
My sister had the advantage due her Vulpix being Ice-type, but two were able to play that game.
I used my Ice memory to transform Silvally into Ice and we threw snowballs all evening at each other.

We had a nice dinner, dad sure knew how to cook, we all brought our plates to wash them and cleaned up the dinning room. After that, we went to the living room to drink hot cocoa, and we all got cozy in the couches. While watching the fire getting ready to sleep, I found myself smiling, it sure was nice to have all the family together again.

However, something was missing, for a reason I couldn't understand, I felt empty and my smile faded.
Even after we finally fulfilled the goal of our family being together once more.
While closing my eyes the image reappeared, this time I could see it properly. It was her, Lillie's friend, the girl I met at the christmas party, she was there, smiling.
I found myself smiling again, and then, I fell asleep.
