Katie's POV•

"Well kiddos, you're never gonna believe this..." The officer huffed. "Some crazed fans of yours cut off the elevators' power and stripped the wires."

Taylor gripped my hand more firmly with a worried glance. I squeezed back and returned my attention to Officer Pete.

"Quite frankly, you guys are lucky to get out alive." He gave us a side smirk before turning around and packing up.

We all stood there in shock. Lucky to get out alive? Wow, just wow.

"I knew your fans were crazy, but not crazy jealous of us enough to try and kill us..." Bridgid trailed off frowning. Shawn gave her a reassuring side hug.

"So now what?" I asked the group.

"I guess we just take the stairs back up to our floor and try to get a good nights rest." Matt answered back yawning.

"Ok." We agreed in unison.

* * * * *

"Oh my gosh, who knew going up so many flights of stairs would be so tiring?!" Taylor complained. We all just laughed tiredly as we stood outside of the hotel room.

"Oh, did you guys let the other boys know what happened? I feel bad we blew them off." I explained sympathetically.

"No need to tell them, it's all over the web, twitter, and Instagram." Taylor pulled out his iPhone and tapped the screen a few times. "They even started a new hashtag..." He turned the screen around for us all to see it.

"#ripmagcon, WHAT THE FLIPPIDY FUCK!?!?" Matthew began to freak out.

"Tay, is there a reason your fans think we're dead?" I asked him concerned.

"I have no idea, mayb-" Carter cut him off.

"Haha, funny story actually..." He had a wide grin plastered on his face that said trouble with a capital 'T'.

"Ok so when we were being attacked in the elevator I posted a tweet saying 'we're gonna die #ripguys'. It was meant to be a joke but I forgot the laughing emoji so they took it seriously." Carter stood there waiting for a response from any of us.

"Carter, you are kidding me right now. Out of all the things you could've tweeted, you tweet that?! How could you! Carter you are unbelievable!" Matt yelled at him. I had never seen him so mad at Carter before. Then again, I never saw him mad at anyone.

"Me?! You're standing here and you have the nerve to yell at me?! You're such an asswipe Matthew, you're the one who got us into this load of crap anyways!" Carter yelled back louder.

"Guys just leave it! It's no ones fault. Stop blaming each other." Shawn explained as he stood between them.

"Forget it." Matt hissed between gritted teeth. Carter rolled his eyes angrily and pushed past him to the hotel room.

"Hey, I'm really sorry. Maybe we can meet up in the morning and go out for breakfast. You know, to make up for lost time today." Taylor half smiled and half frowned.

"Ok." I smiled back shyly before the guys shuffled into their room.

I followed behind Meghan as we piled into the room to get ready for bed.

* * * * *

"Everyone good?" I yawned as I stood next to the light switch at the door.

"Yup." I heard back. I turned out the light and made my way back to the bed. Today was more than busy and I was glad it was finally over.

Seconds after I closed my eyes, I heard a knock at the door. "Katie, you get it." Meghan laughed sleepily before rolling back over.

"Bullshit!" I cursed tiredly. "One of you better get the goddamn door because if I have to I swear you'll regret it." I threatened.

Not even a second passed before Jadyn sat up and trudged her way over to the door.

"Thanks bestie!" I said in the sweetest most teasingly way possible.

"Bitch." She laughed.

Jadyn opened the door to find a shirtless Carter Reynolds and Shawn Mendes holding blankets, pillows, and duffle bags.

"Hi." Carter's voice was barely audible, tired I guess.

"Carter are you ok?" She asked him while helping bring the stuff inside the room.

"Yeah of course bab- I mean Jadyn." He said with a scratchy voice. Carter quickly tried to cover the "babe" slip up.

Jadyn just blushed and stifled a laugh before Shawn explained the change of room plans.

"Me and Shawn are going to move into this room and Meghan and Katie will move into the other room. Simple enough?" He asked us.

"So I have to get up, out of bed?" I asked trying to contain my anger.

"I don't see how else you're going to move to the other room." Meghan joked. I shot her a death glance which made Meghan break out into even more laughter.

"Whatever." I sighed before packing up my bag and taking my stuff across the hall.

Meghan followed behind me and before we knew it we were standing outside of a hotel room with a shirtless Taylor Caniff and Matthew Espinosa inside of it.

"Nice of you to join us ladies." Matt forced a smile onto his face. I could tell he was still hurt from the fight with Carter. Was that what this was all about?

"Hello, earth to Katie." Taylor waved his hands in front of me laughing. "You good?" He asked.

"Yeah, just tired." A yawn escaped my mouth and I realized I would sleep on a marble slab as long as it meant laying down.

"Well, at first the plan was me and Matt sleep in one bed and you girls sleep in the other... but then we realized us sleeping in the same bed would be weird soooo... sorry Katie, I guess your stuck sharing a bed with me." Taylor shrugged and winked. This night just got a whole lot better but he has no idea.

"And I have to share a bed with you my dear Meghan, what a shame." Matt smiled at her. We all just laughed and got into bed.

"Hey, you can sleep closer to the middle, I don't bite you know." Taylor whispered to me from across the bed. He was smiling, I could tell it in his voice.

I scooted a couple of inches to the middle but I still faced outwards. I had only slept in a bed with a boy one other time, but this was oddly different in a weird but enjoyable way.

"Ok that's it, come here." He huffed as he laced his arms around my waist and gently pulled me closer to him. At first I resisted, but when I realized what he was doing, I let him pull me as close to him as he wanted. And that's just what he did.

"That's better." He whispered into my ear before falling asleep.
