Demi

It is a small world & sometimes my world seems to get smaller & smaller. Seeing Delta was kind of funny, but even funnier was how Nick acted when we ran into her & her daughter, Emma at Reid's photoshoot. He was acting like he was afraid of me & I guess I understood why. He thought I was upset about seeing Delta, but the truth is, I wasn't. I liked Delta. I always have. I knew nothing happened, recently, between Nick & Delta & I knew she loved her husband. Even though she sometimes felt nostalgic around Nick, I knew she could be trusted & didn't have feelings for Nick anymore.

I enjoyed catching up with Delta, while our children modeled together. Quite beautifully, modeled together, I might add. It was incredible how good Emma & Reid looked together but also how comfortable they were around each other.

While Delta & I watched Emma & Reid model, one of the photographer's assistants came over to us. "Are they twins?" She asked, prompting me & Delta to bust out laughing as Nick looked at the woman with wide eyes. She walked away when Delta shook her head, in response, not able to stop herself from laughing.

Nick looked at me & Delta, pointing his finger, "Don't even joke that she could be mine, I swear to...."

"You're off the hook, Nick. My husband has light eyes." Delta smirked then looked back at our kids. "It is incredible how alike they look though."

"Just one of those things, I guess. Unless your husband had an affair with Demi." Nick grinned, playfully at me.

"Caught me." I laughed with Delta, as Nick rolled his eyes.

The photoshoot wrapped up a few hours later, thankfully, since I could tell Nick was anxious to leave. As we were walking out of the building to our cars, Emma squealed, startling all of us. We all looked up as she started running toward someone. It was Chris, her dad & as soon as Delta realized that, she walked, quickly to greet her husband.

"Babe! What are you doing here?" Delta asked, as she threw her arms around Chris, who grinned over her shoulder at me & Nick.

"I came home early & thought I'd surprise my girls. Looks like I got the surprise. Demi. Nick. How are you?"

"Great." Nick shook Chris' hand. "Nice seeing you again, Chris."

Chris talked casually, to all of us for a moment, making sure he complimented the kids, then he clapped his hands together. "How about we all go to dinner together? My treat."

Nick glanced at me, like he was waiting for me to say no. "That sounds good. We didn't have dinner plans." I responded, shrugging my shoulders & ignoring Nick's expression.

"Fantastic." Chris exclaimed, then took Delta's hand & started walking toward the exit.

An hour or so later, we were all at dinner, enjoying some good conversation, over wine or sparkling water. I was drinking the water & so were the kids, while everyone else had wine. I couldn't help but smile at Emma & Reid, because they were getting along so amazingly well, it was actually kind of cute. I leaned on my hand wondering if they'd end up dating one day. I had to laugh at myself, because I was constantly thinking everyone would end up with their best friend, like I did. I felt Nick rubbing my back, while we listened to Chris & Delta tell a funny story of when they were looking for a house in L.A. I looked up at Nick's profile, watching his handsome thoughtful expression as he intensely listened to them, laughing at the funny parts of the story.

When dinner was over, Delta mentioned writing some songs with Nick to Chris & he seemed excited to hear this, making Nick look over at me. I smiled at him, then leaned on my arms to listen to Chris gush about the songs Delta wrote with Nick, already. He loved them & was looking forward to hearing what they came up with, now.
