I thought I was in the clear, since Demi wouldn't be around Eden ever again, if I could help it, but then she tells me she wants to spend the New Year with Eden. Why was this happening? Why did Demi suddenly want to see Eden when she was mad at her? Demi storming out of the room, after telling me she was going to Vegas & having a conversation with Eden, without me, made me nauseous. I had a really bad feeling about this Vegas holiday, as I watched Demi leave the room.

I sighed, running my hand over my face, then stood up & went to find Demi. She was in our bedroom, getting ready for bed. She barely acknowledged me when I walked in & shut the door. I sighed, walking toward the bed. "So you would rather hang out with Eden than with your husband or your kids?" I asked, shoving my hands in my pockets.

"We haven't done something on New Year's, with just the two of us, in years. Two years ago, we almost lost our daughter & then last year, we stayed home because of what happened the year before. This will be fun, so yes, I want to go & yes I am willing to go without you. And I don't plan on talking to Eden much. Blanda & Joe are going & then Dani also invited some of our other friends... Courtney & Jonah... so I'll have plenty of people to hang out with. Eden is performing, so she will be busy." Demi shrugged her shoulders, then went back to taking off her makeup.

"I just thought we would spend it with the kids. They're not going to be little, much longer."

Demi laughed as she shook her head. "Jerry & Mercy are almost 16 so they don't want to spend it with us. They probably will have a party to go to or something."

I inhaled & exhaled, then sat on the edge of the bed. "You said you were going to have a conversation with Eden. That doesn't need to happen. You're going to create unnecessary drama."

"I just want to tell her I know what happened between you two & that if it ever happens again, I'll kick her ass." Demi spoke so matter-of-factly, that I rolled my eyes & laughed.

"You're not telling her that."

Demi's gaze met mine in the reflection of the mirror, she was sitting in front of. "I'm definitely saying something. I am not going to not say anything to her, after what she did."

"Fine. I will go with you & I will be there when you say something to her."

A cocky smirk appeared on her face, as she shrugged her shoulders. "Okay, then." Demi flashed me a satisfied grin, knowing she got what she wanted, then disappeared into the bathroom. I heard the water running, so I knew she was washing her face & brushing her teeth.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket so I could text Joe a message, 'We should get together asap. Need my big bro."

Minutes later, Joe replied, 'Just tell me when.'

I sent him another message. 'Tomorrow?'

'Sounds good. Let's go golfing.'

'Perfect.' I texted back, then plugged my phone, into the charger, before I laid it on the nightstand. I started getting ready for bed, myself, trying not to think about the conversation that could take place between Demi & Eden. I wanted to talk to Eden beforehand, to make sure she didn't tell Demi what happened between us, but I wasn't sure I'd be able to get the chance. I could send an email but I didn't want to have a paper trail. I knew talking to Joe would help, so I would have to be patient.

"I'm going to have some questions for you to answer, in the next few days, for my book." Demi announced as she came back into the bedroom.

"Oh yea? How many?"
