As soon as Eden said she had something exciting happening in her life, I immediately thought she was talking about the pregnancy. The look on Nick's face clued me in on the fact that he also thought she was referring to being pregnant. He looked panicked, which I was confused about, at first, but then I realized he was panicked, thinking I would ask Eden specifically about being pregnant, something he didn't want me to do. "What's so exciting?" I asked Eden, looking away from Nick to look at her.

"My new album is coming out next month & I am headlining an arena tour, kicking off on New Year's day. This tour is going to be huge, with an enormous stage. I've been sitting on this news for over a month. It's just about finalized, except I'm missing an artistic director & choreographer. I had one, but she quit on me, to work in Europe or something." Eden waved her hand & rolled her eyes, which made me chuckle, since she was so unbothered.

I heard Nick sigh, beside me, sounding impatient, but I ignored him. "We know a great choreographer. Dani Vitale. She can be your A.D., too. She's done a lot of tours. She choreographed a bunch of shows & events, for some huge artists. She'd be perfect. I can give you her number if you want."

"Oh my God, yes. Thank you. That would be awesome."

I pulled my phone out & gave Dani's phone number to Eden. "She will be so excited, too. She's been hoping to find something new to work on."

We heard someone at a microphone, asking for our attention, so we all turned toward the stage. I leaned close to Nick, holding onto his hand, as we watched this person welcome all of us. They told some jokes, mentioned some of the bigger nominees & then gave us some etiquette expectations. 

During a short break, before awards were handed out, I leaned toward Eden. I couldn't stnad not knowing if the rumor was true, so I had to do something. "You're not drinking tonight?" I nodded toward her water glass.

"No. I have an early meeting tomorrow, so I need to be clear headed."

"Makes sense." I replied, feeling a little disappointed since that still didn't tell me if she was pregnant or not. I glanced at Nick, who seemed to be just as disappointed as I was. I reached to hold his hand, that was sitting on the table. "Your first award is up soon. You getting nervous?" 

"Not really. I'm just happy that you're here with me." He replied, then leaned to kiss my cheek. "I love you." He said, in a low hum against my ear. 

I lifted my head to look at him, then smiled. "I love you, too." Minutes later, the award for Nick & Eden's category was up, so we sat there, anxiously, waiting for the winner to be announced. The category was "Top Venue" so it wasn't the big one of the two awards, but it was still something to be proud of if they did win. Nick & Eden didn't win, but I gave Nick a smile. "Maybe you'll get the next one."

"I love your positivity." Nick smirked, squeezing my hand. 

I tried to make small talk with Eden, in between awards, wanting to find out if she was pregnant, but nothing seemed to be enough. Nick was talking to Phil & Shonda, a lot, so he wasn't helping. He didn't seem like he wanted to have a conversation with Eden, anyway, & I couldn't help but wonder what the hell happened that made him dislike her so much.
