Skipping School

Toni's Pov
As soon as I replied to Cheryls text, I got up out of my chair and stormed out of calculous and ran down the corridors of southside high before bursting through the exit of the school and sprinting to my motorbike, I wanted to get to Cheryl, i felt awful for her, being tormented at her school. Once I got my bike started I went as fast as I could to get back to the northside, i was breaking the speed limit but I didnt care, I was at the front entrance of Riverdale High in 3 minutes, so I texted Cheryl.

Im here Cheryl.
Just look for my bike.

Within one minute of the text being sent i saw Cheryl run out of the front doors, mascara lines down her face, god she was a mess, i ran over to her and wrapped her in a hug.

"Oh my God, Cheryl what happened?" She started crying on my shoulder and my heart broke for her.
"They...they..." She couldnt get her words out she was that emotional.
"Cheryl...it's ok, I'm here, you dont have to tell me yet, let's get outta here." She loosened her grip around me and stared me in the eyes.
"Thank you.....so...much Toni." She smiled, and it made me so relieved.
"Its no problem, now get on, lets go"

I got on my bike and she climbed on behind me, taking my helmet and wrapping her arms around my waist, holding on tightly, I started to travel towards Pops and the whole journey I felt her holding on tighter and tighter, and I slowly felt a smile appear on my face, I quickly turned around to see Cheryls face go bright red as she hid it from me, I turned around, smiling even more. When we finally arrived at Pops, Cheryl had completely stopped crying. We both got off the bike and she followed me into a corner booth on our own where Cheryl came and sat next to me. Once we sat down Cheryl instantly laid her head on my shoulder and started crying again.

"Cheryl, is everything Ok?" I knew she wasnt Ok, i just wanted her to explain what happened at school.
"It..it was Veronica, she was making fun of me for...for the way I was dressing." I was confused but also intrigued at the statement. "She...she was saying I was dressing like a southside skank..." that made me laugh a little bit on the inside, but I couldn't show it and make Cheryl feel worse.
"Ohhh... I was wondering why you looked so good today Cheryl, and yes you are starting to get our good fashion style and honestly whatever Veronica was wearing you would have looked 10,000 times better. I think this suits you very well." I felt her head raise off of my shoulder and she started to look at me with a funny expression. "What, did I say something wrong?" I started to panic.
"No Toni, no one has ever said something like that to me before." She started to smile and I felt a wave of relief flow over my body. "Only Jason, before he died, he told me my fashion style was unique but amazing."
"I couldnt agree with him more" I smile back at her. "Two strawberry milkshakes pop!"
"My Favourite?!" I shrugged my shoulders and she laid her head back on me.
