Confronting The Beast

Cheryls Pov

After I hung up the polaroid Toni walked into the room, she had changed into a plain black top and a plaid red skirt, she also was wearing knee high black socks with high heeled boots, and obviously her serpent jacket to finish the outfit. She looked amazing, and that was coming from the queen of fashion.

"Yep my clothes 100 percent suit you Cher." She looked me up and down and I started to blush at her opinion.
"You don't look to bad yourself." She started blushing at my compliment, she looked so cute, my heart melted a little.
"Are you ready to go Cheryl?"
"As ready as I'll ever be."

I followed Toni out of the trailer and watched her lock up then go onto her bike, she passed me a new helmet as we never found the old one and I got on the bike behind her, I felt much more comfortable on the motorcycle now than I ever had before, we had rode on it so many times over the past three days, and I had got closer to Toni than anyone, ever before. Me and Toni still hadn't discussed our kiss last night, but it must not have been awful for her, otherwise she would have ditched me by now, but we were even closer than ever before, and it made me so happy.

When we started going up the drive to Thornhill my heart was pounding, I hadn't even planned what I was going to say to my mother, or what she would do to me, but all I knew is that I had Toni by my side, which made me feel a lot safer than ever before. Toni stopped the bike right next to the front entrance of Thornhill and watched me get off it and hand her the helmet.

"I'm going to stay here, this is something for you to do, but remember. I'm right here and if you need any help, I'm right here. Your safe Cheryl, remember that." I suddenly started to panic more, but then Toni grabbed my hand and I suddenly felt so much calmer, just knowing that I had her, no matter what.
"Thank you Toni, for all of this, for making me feel safe."
"It's an honour Cheryl."

I slowly loosened my grip on Toni's hand and started to walk towards the front door, not losing sight of her the whole time, until I was a step away from the door. I turned my head and focused on what I was going to say to my mom.
I knocked on the door.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited.
Then I heard the door unlock and open and saw my mom standing, staring at me. I could instantly tell she was shocked to see me, but not happy shocked, it was the face of anger.
"Cheryl Blossom, what are you doing, why are you not at the sisters!"
"Shut it mumsi, you sent me away to that awful place and put me through hell, why do you think I'm here. To confront you mother, to tell you how horrible of a parent you are for sending me away to a ghoulish nunnery."
"How the hell did you get out."
"Because of a girl, a girl who I connect with, who I like a lot. Toni Topaz, she helped me out of there and you can't do anything about it."
"What did I tell you about your feelings."
"I dont care about you anymore mother. I want you out of this house, within the next hour. Also I want to get emancipated. If you arent out of this house within the next hour, my serpent friends with definitely teach you a lesson or two."
"Cheryl...."
"Times ticking, better hurry up."

Toni stood up and walked over to me and put her arm around my waist, i turned to her and smiled, I don't think I have ever seen her more proud of anyone in my life.

"I'm going to help you pack up while Toni here goes to work, then I'm moving back in and you out." Penelope ran upstairs to start packing and I turned to hug Toni and I had a sigh of relief.
"I'm so proud of you Cheryl, you did amazing, I dont think I have ever seen your Mom so scared."
"Oh my God that was terrifying T.T, I havent been that scared talking to my Mom in a long time."
"Its all Ok now Cheryl, shes leaving, and you have the house all to yourself, no more being scared."
"Do you have to go to work T.T, I don't want to be alone with my mother right now."
"Sorry Cheryl, I need money, But i swear I will come straight here when I'm done, around 6pm..?"
"What do you say about a movie night?"
"I would love that Cheryl, now I gotta go, good luck."
"Bye T.T, I'm gonna miss you."

I watched her get on her bike and drive back down the drive and into riverdale, once she left I saw her old helmet right next to where she parks her bike. I walked over and picked it up, it still had the strong scent of strawberry emitting from it, the scent of Toni's hair. I decided to take the helmet up to my room and put it next to my bed, just so I had a piece of her with me all the time, to give me a piece of mind.
