Toni's Pov

I woke up the sound of crashing pans in the kitchen and loud cursing, I turned over in my bed to find Cheryl was no longer lying next to me. I sat up in bed and started looking around for her, hoping thats she was just getting changed, but she was no where to be seen. Maybe she had gone home to grab something, but her car keys were still on the dresser. I instantly went into a panic when I heard another plate break, thinking the intruder from earlier was back again and had Cheryl. I went over to my draws and got my switchblade out as quietly as I could and edged over to the door, still hyperventilating. I didnt want Cheryl to be hurt or trapped by the person who was doing this to us two, so whatever I could do to help her I would. Once I reached the door I slammed it open and charged into the room.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" As soon as I finished shouting i heard Cheryl scream and watch her drop another plate in the middle of the kitchen.

"Toni, what the hell?" Oh my god, shes ok.

"Im sorry, its just I thought she was back and she was hurting you." I must be getting PTSD fro last night and seeing my trailer in such a mess. "Did you clean, you didnt need to do that.." The kitchen and main room were back to being spotless, well, excluding the smashed plates on the floor.

"I did need to, your my girlfriend now Toni, its what girlfriends do, we help each other out no matter what." She walked over and wrapped her arms around me, making me finally feel safe. "Are you Ok Toni?"

"I don't know, its just I dont want last night to happen again, and when I heard the pan crash and didnt see you next to me I started freaking out." I felt myself start to get emotional in her arms, but I had cried so much over the past day no tears left my eyes.

"I'm ok Toni, I really am, you need to believe me. Your here in my arms, and thats all that matters." I felt myself sobbing, and almost falling to the floor, but Cheryl held me up.

"I...I just worry Cher, y-your risking everything by dating a gang member. I just dont want to see you get hurt, I care too much about you." I really meant it when I didnt want to hurt her, she was the only good thing in my life. It would kill me to see her in pain. Especially if its my fault. What didnt help was that I was a mess right now, and I wasnt thinking straight, which experience shows isnt good for me.

"Come on Toni, lets go sit down..." I was emotionally unstable, in every way possible.

"No, Cheryl. When you are around me, your vulnerable, and I can't see you like that. I cant deal with watching you get hurt and it being my fault." What was I doing.

"Toni...Im ok with this, I chose to be with you, I chose to take this risk Ok? I get that Im not a serpent or anything, but I love you and you know that. Even if it means there was a chance I could het hurt, I still want to take that chance just to be with you." God she was amazing. "Ok, Toni, you need food, you need to calm down ok.."

"Ok..ok.. it's just your not a serpent, no one can protect you."

"You can protect me Toni, I trust you." I looked into her eyes, and got lost in a trance. How did I deserve this girl.

"What if I can't Cher, what if im not there or im not strong enough." She smiled at me, she was always trying to make me happy in a time of pain.

"Then I can stand up for myself, I'm surprisingly strong you know." Cheryl said while picking me up and twirling me around, showing her "strength". When she put me back down we kissed, and I instantly regret everything I said to her. I loved her so much, she loved me. We were in this together. "So, It's time we eat because I woke up early to make this, just for you. Also you better hurry because WE have a Veronica Lodge to confront."

I finally smiled back at her while we walked over to the full spread of food she made for me. God I loves this woman. In fact she was my whole life right now.

Cheryl's Pov

After the dramatic 24 hours we had just had I was finally relieved to be in school. Toni insisted on me wearing her Serpent jacket all day as it made her feel happier knowing I was wearing serpent clothes. Within a few minutes of being in the building me and Toni stormed over to Veronica to finally sort out the mess of last night.

"Oh lookie here everyone, Cheryl Blossom in a serpent jacket. You so poor that you has to resort to your girlfriends crappy leather now." Everyone in the rooms head turned to face us three, and started to laugh quietly at me and Toni, which aggravated Toni even more.

"Actually I thought she looked pretty hot in it, so I asked her to. Something you will never be." Veronica glared at Toni while I was blushing at what she said. So thats why she made me wear it huh. Impressive Topaz, impressive.

"You might aswell make her a Southside Slag now that your the only person in this town that actually likes her, shes an outcast here." Veronica turned around and started to walk away as I felt my head drop in shame. I felt Toni grab my hand and squeeze it, making me feel confident again.

"Says the person that literally had to trash my trailer to get into my head." She stopped in her position as the room filled with 'oooooohs'. Veronica slowly turned around to face us and started to walk back towards us, looking as pissed as usual.

"What.... did you say Topaz?" Toni smirked at her, knowing she had got into her head. I couldnt be more proud of her.

"I got to you Yesterday, pissed you off, and you couldnt fight back." Toni started to move closer to Veronica, letting go of my hand, trying to be as intimidating as she could. Which to be honest wasnt very, she was too cute. "So what you did, is you went to my trailer, or sent someone there. Broke in and trashed everything, ripped up almost all of my polaroids and took the ones of me and my parents, the last memories I had of them. The only way you knew you could get into my head." Toni was starting to become emotional again, which is never good, so I grabbed her hand again and she turned to face me, I gave her a smile to try and give her some sort of reassurance back, she gave me a weak smile back, then turned to face Veronica again, who I had never seen so scared. "Also, don't even try to say that it wasnt you, you left me that note you bitch!"

Toni quickly let go of my hand and slapped Veronica across the face, causing the side of her face to go bright red within seconds. "Thats for hurting my girlfriend you Rich Bitch!"

"What the hell is going on in here?!" The loud voice of Principle Weatherbee echoed through the school building, so I quickly picked Toni up off of Veronica and held her as tight to me as I could, so she wouldn't let any more anger out on her.

"Toni, Cheryl, Veronica. I need you all in my office immediately!" Toni quickly came to my defense.

"Principle Weatherbee, Cheryl did nothing. This was all me I swear, I was protecting her." I hugged her even tighter for being so supportive to me, but I knew I wasnt getting out of this.

"I recommend you come with me now Antionette, before I make you punishment worse." I loosened my grip and pulled her towards the office.

"Its ok Toni, lets just go."
