Mistakes

Toni's Pov

I was mad, really mad, I couldn't be any madder. This was between me and Veronica, I started it the other day and she continued it last night, and now Cheryls been dragged into it, she's done nothing wrong at all. Me and Cheryl followed Mr Weatherbee hand in hand with Veronica crawling slowly behind us. I don't think I had ever gripped her hand so tightly, its what I do when I get stressed. I wasnt even worried about myself, it was only her I was concerned about. When we finally reached his office I walked over to the chairs and sat down, with Cheryl by my side and Veronica on the other side of the room. I was sat tapping my foot on the floor and shaking, Cheryl sensed my nerves and rest her hand on my thigh and turned to face me and smiled.

"Its ok, Im ok.." She whispered to me quietly, so I rest my head on her shoulder and my nerves seemed to calm down.

"So, Antionette, care to explain to me what happened a few minutes ago." I looked over to Cheryl, who nodded at me, basically telling me to say everything. But before the words could leave my mouth Veronica stood up angrily.

"Principle Wetherbee Sir-"

"I didnt ask you Veronica, sit back down. So Antionette, from the beggining please." I cleared my throat and started to explain everything.

"It..it started a while ago Sir, I know I havent been at this school for long. But Cheryls always been bullied by Veronica and people like her. To the point where she went to Southside High to get new friends because everyone at this god damn school was being os horrible to her." I was getting emotional, and reckless, which wasn't a good combination for me. " And on my first day here, I saw it firsthand. I walked into this building with Cheryl and Miss Lodge over there came up to us and straight off the bat started to insult her, making fun of her for who she was and who she loved. Not a single person in this stupid school cared to help her." I felt tears build up in my eyes, I turned to Veronica to see her head in her hands, meaning I was doing something right. "To top it all off, last night either she sent someone to come trash my trailer or she did it herself, and she obviously isnt hiding it." I pulled the polaroid out of my back pocket and showed what the back said to principle wetherbee, i looked at Veronica to find her staring at me with an evil glare, obviously wanting revenge.

"Miss Lodge, this here is very strong evidence that you did this. You have a motif and a note to prove, so no backing out of this. You have a minimum of 1 week suspension!" She started crying, obviously she wants the pity vote. "Also Miss Topaz, I need you to explain what happened today."

"We wanted to confront her for what she did, but without saying anything she started insulting Cheryl. Calling her a southside slag and an outcast, so Im being honest, I got mad for her hurting my girlfriend so I slapped her, right across the face." I shrugged my shoulders as I obviously couldnt care less about Veronica. I turned my head to the left to see Cheryl looking as proud as ever, her smile stretching across her face.

"Miss Topaz, thank you for your honesty, but I'm still going to have to give you a week of detention for violence." I couldn't care less, I was used to getting detentions, so it was normal for me. "Veronica, I'm going to have to take you to the Sheriffs station for these accusations, they are very, very serious. As for you Miss Blossom, Im ashamed you didnt come speak to me sooner, also you have to get 3 detentions this week for slapping Veronica earlier this week." Oh hell no.

"Sorry what did you say?" I questioned him while I heard Cheryl silently sob behind me.

"Miss blossom has detentions for violence."

"Ok no, she is a perfect student, the only thing she has done wrong is slap Veronica, I'm sorry but the amount of pain and torment she has put her through is ridiculous and your punishing her, this is stupid!" Cheryl grabbed my hand.

"Toni, It's fine." I turned around to see her makeup has run down her face, she has a perfect record and has done nothing wrong, I wasnt going to stand with this.

"No Cheryl, it's not fine, your not fine. This school is putting you through hell and back and you have stayed strong for so long and now they are putting you through even more!" I felt tears stream down my face, God wetherbee was being A bitch.

"Toni, I suggest you stop now before I increase your punishment." I didnt even care anymore.

"God please do, as long as it means you get rid of Cheryls I will take as long a one as I can." Cheryl stood up behind me and pulled me back but I escaped her hold and moved towards Principle.

"Toni, please stop." Cheryl was balling now, her words stumbling out of her mouth. "Please! Toni!"

"Shut the hell up Cheryl! Im not going to stand here and let this man do this to you!" I turned around to see her facs break at me saying for her to shut the hell up. She ripped off my jacket and ran out of the office. "Cheryl! Where are you going?!"

I had messed up, I forgot how weak Cheryl was right now, and how the smallest things made her break.

"Look what you two have done now, you screwed everything up!" I put on my jacket and ran out of the office with Principle Weatherbee shouting for me to come back the whole time I was running. I needed to find her. I needed to say sorry.

I'd messed up.
