Dani's POV

"I'm fine mom, I promise. It's my third year I can't get lost." I told my mom through the phone.

"Well honey, I know but I just don't want you being late to your classes that's all."  My mom said.

"It's my fourth day of school mom, I'll talk to you later I think I'm in the right building." I replied, clicking the elevator button simultaneously. We said our goodbyes and love you's as I walked into the elevator to go to my first class of the day. Starting my third year of university is exciting to me. I'm one year closer to obtaining my bachelor's degree in journalism. This year I also get to start internships at local newsletter offices.

As the elevator moved up towards the 3rd floor, I looked at my phone for my schedule. 3206 Bligh Hall. I hope some of my new friends are in this class. I made lots of new friends at school. Not just people in the same major as me but other people as well. I still keep in touch with Violet though. Not as much as we used to, but every break she comes up to visit. Just thinking about Violet, I decided to shoot her a text. The elevator door opens, my head still down, I bump into someone accidentally. "Shit, I'm so sorry." I look up and see blue eyes looking into mine.

"It's no problem. Don't worry about it." The mystery guy smiles at me. I smile back and continue walking down the hall. I quickly turn back to catch another view of the guy but got caught. He smiled again and waved a little. I laughed to myself, obviously blushing. I shook off the blushing, realizing I needed to get to class.  I finally reach my classroom and take a seat towards the front.

After another two classes, I'm done for the day. I head back to my dorm only to be greeted by multiple girls who I haven't seen before. Evie had company. "Hey Dani!! Hope you don't mind I brought some friends over to study a bit!" Study my ass. I decided to leave the room to go to a much quieter space. I went over to one of the lounges in our building. The lounges are big, equipped with tables, chairs, couches, TVs, and many many outlets. I plop myself on the couch and decide to start some homework.

Once I finished the homework assigned today and read up on tomorrow's lecture, I looked up and realized that I wasn't alone anymore. More people came to study or just to hangout. I gathered my stuff, hoping that the girls left my dorm, and made my way back. Just as I got to my door, I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. I set my books down on the floor, as well as myself, and answered the FaceTime call. "Hey D!" Violet exclaimed through my phone's screen. "Hey Vi."

"How was your first week so far?" She questioned.

"It was okay, lots of work already."

"Already?? No way. Well my day went fantastic. I only have one class on Mondays, two classes on Tuesdays, one again on Wednesdays, and then two again on Thursdays. Then guess what?"

"What?"

"No classes on Fridays!!" She squealed. "Isn't that amazing?"

"Lucky you, Vi."

"Well have you met any cute guys yet? Is anybody on your radar? Wait wait how about that guy from your writing class last year?"

"I told you Vi, I'm not looking for any guys this year. I'm trying to put school as my top priority right now. Plus that guy had a girlfriend already." I cringed thinking about the embarrassment I faced last year.

"Well, who says you can't prioritize school but still have a hunk on your arm?" She gasped as if she figured something out. "You know they say that your U has hella good looking people?"

"Vi, I don't care about guys right now. What I care about is graduating with a good GPA. I need to do good this year for the internships and for future job opportunities." I sighed. It was true. I needed to get my mind off of guys. I wasn't ready for a relationship right now with more important things to worry about.
