You had a reason. I'm a horrible person for getting your hopes up.. I really wanted to hang out again but I've just been busy.. And when you got into the accident my heart literally broke...

You're not horrible. I get it you were busy.. I'm glad you still attempted to visit me.

It's been a week and I can finally leave the hospital. Since my mom was working and Sammy was at school, the nurses helped me pack all of my things and helped me sign out. Apparently my mom sent for someone to pick me up since they can't just send me out by myself. I figured it was William. Boy was I wrong. I walked out of the hospital, luggage and all, to be greeted by a face I hadn't seen since I yelled at him. Luke was leaning on his car, passenger door open, waiting for me. His face lit up once he saw me and he quickly walked over to me. "Hey, let me help you with those." He took my bags out of my hands and walked beside me to his car. "How ya feeling?" He asked. 

"Better. I'm still in pain. Doctors say that it will take some time for the pain to subside." I told him. He placed my bags in the back seat and then helped me get into the passenger seat. Once I was in, he closed the door and ran over to his side. "Buckle up, speed racer." He joked. I looked at him seriously. "Too soon?" He asked. 

"I wasn't speeding!" I argued. 

"I know Dani, it was just a joke." He chuckled. He grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips. He gently kissed it and smiled at me. "I'm happy that you weren't. I'm also happy that nothing horrible happened to you." 

I smiled back at him, feeling my cheeks get a rosy color to them. He kissed my hand once again, making me get butterflies in my stomach. I took my hand out of his to caress his cheek. I gently did that to him and it was almost like he melted into my hand. He closed his eyes and smiled lazily. I stroked his cheek with my thumb, admiring the view in front of me. I gently took my hand away, causing Luke to flutter his eyes open. "Thanks for picking me up." I told him. 

"Anything for you. Your mom sent for me." He started the car and drove off. 

"I figured. I thought it would have been her boyfriend." 

"You like him?" 

"Yeah, he's super nice. Sammy and my mom seem to like him a lot. I still need to get to know him a little more." I replied. 

"That's good." Luke replied. 

"How's your mom and dad?" I asked. 

"They're good." Luke said.
