Dani's POV

I clicked the 'answer' button for Cal's FaceTime call. In a few seconds, Cal's face appeared on my screen. "Hey Cal." I greeted him, smiling. His smile beamed on my screen.

"Hey Dani. How ya been?" He asked.

"I'm good. How are you?"

"I'm good. I wanted to ask you something." He said. When he spoke there was a lot of noise behind him.

"Yeah, what's up?" I was concerned. His arm extended to show where he was. He was sitting on a chair with people walking behind him in a hurry. Then he brought it closer to his face.

"Can you pick me up from the airport?" He smiled.

"WHAT?!" I yelled causing him to flinch. "You're at the airport?! Why?!"

"Dani I have earbuds in, please don't yell." He chuckled. "I wanted to surprise you, the boys, and my family."

"What terminal are you in? I'll go right now!"

"I'll text it to you. Thank you Dani." He said. We hung up and I got up to get my stuff.

I drove slowly through the terminal, looking for gate E. I found it and I parked. I immediately saw Cal come out of the door, smiling. I got out of my car to go help him and greet him. I ran to him. I embraced him in a hug which almost made him fall over. "Hi Dani." He greeted me, while squeezing me tightly.

"Hi Cal, I've missed you."

"I've missed you too. Come on, let's go home, the police will give you a ticket for standing too long." We walked back to the car and drove home. On the way home, we talked about his flight, when he had planned this trip, and everything else we haven't talked about on FaceTime.

We got to his house, got his luggage out of the back seat, and proceeded to his front door. We came up with the plan that he was going to hide behind the bush in front of his house, while I ring the doorbell and bring his mom outside. He gave me a thumbs up behind the bush, which meant I could ring the doorbell. I heard the doorbell ring inside, and someone yell 'coming!'. They opened the door to reveal themselves. It was Cal's older sister, Mali. "Hey Dani." Her face tried not to show confusion but it sort of did.

"Hey Mali, how are you?"

"Good, how about you?"

"Good."

"I'm sorry to be rude, but what are you doing here?" Mali replied.

"I needed to drop off some stuff for your brother."

"You know Cal's not here. He's in college." She said, concerned.

"Yeah, I know but it's just in the trunk. Can you help me carry it?" I said, motioning to the car. Her eyebrows furrowed a bit. She slowly walked towards me. Once she was out the door and coming down the front steps, Cal jumped out of the bush and hugged her from behind. She started screaming but then Cal let her go and she turned around.

"CALUM!" She yelled again and embraced Cal in a hug. He started laughing. "Hey Mali."

"What are you doing here?! Wait does mom know?"

"She probably does now since you screamed bloody murder."

"Oh no, I'm sorry, I thought Dani and some guy were going to try to kill me. Sorry Dani." She turned to me for the last part.

"I couldn't think of anything else to say to get you out." I smiled meekly.

"Come in, come in!" She invited us in, quietly. "Mom's upstairs." Cal walked up the stairs slowly, while Mali and I stayed downstairs.
