Chapter 5 // Again

Dani's POV

A month later

I rubbed my sweaty palms against my jeans as I walked closer to the restaurant. I walked into it and looked for Collin. I saw him sitting in a booth alone. I walked towards his booth. "Hey is this seat taken?" I smiled as he looked up. He immediately smiled and shook his head. "You could only sit there if you're going to stay the whole night." He joked. I forced a small smile and fake-laughed at his joke. I let it slide. "I'm super sorry about that." I apologized again for probably the hundredth time. He waited for me at my usual study room for a week just to see if I could go out with him again after I ran out on him. Then we kept going out and eventually we exchanged numbers. 

"I know I know I'm just messin' with ya." He said. "Are you going to get pasta again?" 

"Maybe." I looked up from the menu to smile at him. We continued to talk the whole night and I didn't bolt out the restaurant.

After the dinner 'date' I guess, I went back to my room. Evie was getting ready for a frat party. She was dressed in a sexy pirate costume. "Hey Dani!" She smiled. "Do you want to go the party with me? I'm going with Sofia and Haylee."  I was confused. Haylee doesn't go to parties.. "Haylee Murphy?" I questioned. 

"Yeah! She's the sweetest and cutest thing." Evie replied. "She offered to be designated driver! I plan on getting STUPID drunk tonight. I need it." 

"That makes two of us." I muttered under my breath. I agreed to go only because I didn't want to be alone on a Friday night, especially on halloweekend. I got changed my shirt from a basic tee to a halter crop top then paired it with a cardigan because late at night it gets sorta chilly. Once I was good, Evie immediately shook her head. "Dani it's a halloween party!! You need a halloween costume." 

"I don't have one." I shrugged. 

"Well think of something. Quickly because Sof and Haylee are almost here." I turned to my closet to examine what I had to work with. I pulled out a leather jacket and some leggings. I looked in my drawers for a black crop top of some sort. "E, do you have a black crop top? I know I had one but I lost it." I asked. She looked in her drawers and pulled out a bandeau. "This is the only one I have. The rest are in the laundry basket." I compiled and changed into my outfit. I reached for a red bandana in my drawers and wrapped it on my head. I looked in the mirror then turned to Evie. "I'm a biker." Her jaw dropped. 

"DANI YOU'RE SO HOT!" She yelled. I laughed and told her to stop gassing me. Before she could say anything else, Sof called her letting her know that they were downstairs. We left our dorm and met up with Sofia and Haylee outside.  

"This place is huge!! It's one of the biggest frats on campus. They have a party every month and they're all epic." Sofia pointed at a frat house through the window. "It's usually invite only." Evie added on. I looked out the car window and saw people standing in a huge line waiting to get in the humongous house. 

"So where are we going?" I asked. 

"It's still a frat party but not as big."  I was getting intimidated. I haven't been to a party since maybe beginning of my second year at college. I forgot how big they could be. Haylee made sure to enforce rules between us. She would be trying to check up on all of us if we do split up. The rules were to always have our phones on us, ringers on, don't leave with anybody else, don't get drinks from anybody else. 

 The frat house we got to was kinda big. There were still a lot of people though. First thing we did was get drinks. They had mostly beer but also some wine coolers. I took a wine cooler for myself while Evie and Sof got beer. For the first hour we were just chilling. It was kinda boring in my opinion. For a halloween party, there wasn't many people wearing costumes. The music was wack too. I told the girls that I was kind of bored. "Do you wanna play some beer pong or flip cup?" Evie asked. I shook my head. I heard my phone go off indicating that I received a text message.
