|oh boy did i swoon|
"HELLO?" HUNK BELLOWS, his voice echoing through the empty walls of the castle.
I look at him with an eyebrow raised, and he shrugs back sheepishly. Turning back around, I look at the castle. It's absolutely gorgeous, and it almost takes my breath away. Though its dark, and I can't really see, I can make out some human-sized stairs.
"From the size of the lion, I expected these steps to be bigger," Pidge says, and I nod.
"I'm thinking that maybe the people who own Voltron live here - maybe they lost it or something. We can return it, and go right back home," I say, excitement creeping into my tone. "Before we know it, we'll be back on Earth, sipping on some Sunkist while watching TV."
Suddenly, a blue beam of light opens up from the ceiling and shines down on us. I let out a yelp of surprise, as the others all gasp. Suddenly, a monotonous voice rings out.
"Hold for identity scan," a voice instructs.
"What?" Pidge asks in disbelief.
Suddenly, a circle of blue light appears around me, and begins moving upwards, scanning my body. I gasp as I look and realize it's happening to everyone. I would be nervous, but I can feel the presence standing beside me, and all I feel is calm.
"Why are we here? What do you want with us?" Shiro demands.
There's no answer, other than whisps of light flashing, then fully illuminating the hallway. It seems to light up a pathway, and I can feel the presence walking down the hall. Everyone gaps in wonderment.
"I guess we're going that way," Pidge shrugs, and begins down the hall.
The lights lead up across halls, over foyers, and down stairs, until we finally reach an open room. The room is large, the ceiling arching upwards. Pillars with blue triangles and metal melded with them seem to hold the room up, as a single small control panel sits in the center of the room. Surrounding the control panel is somewhat a gear shape, with eight identical circular shapes sticking slightly out of the ground.
"Hello?" Hunk questions again.
Lance furrows his eyebrows. "Where are we?"
Pidge glances down at the control panel, and it lights up the same brilliant blue. "It's some kind of control room."
Suddenly, a tube rises from one of the circular shapes in the ground, and smokes surrounds it. It takes a second for another tube to rise, and I can vaguely make out figures inside. If they're aliens, they look strangely similar to humans, from what I can tell.
"Are these guys . . . dead?" Hunk asks, voice quiet.
"What the f-" I start, but I'm cut off by the hissing of a tube opening up, and a girl falling forward.
"Father!" she says, her British accent thick and noticeable.
Almost slamming to the floor, she's caught by Lance at the last second. She's draped in a blue dress with white underneath a layered skirt. She had long white hair, and pink triangular markings on the cheekbone by her eye. And her ears - they're elfish, sticking outward and with pointy tips. She's absolutely stunning, and I can't help the blush that thickly coats my cheeks. She looks up at Lance, and I see that he has the exact same reaction as me, as a smile pulls his lips upward.
"Hello," Lance smirks.
The girl stares up at him questioningly. "Who are you? Where am I?"
"I'm Lance," he cooed. "And you're right here in my arms."
