BACK AT THE castle, the lions are sat facing a huge door in a wide hanger. Shiro stands at the beginning of some steps, illuminated by a blue glow, as he waits with a small, defiant smile perched on his lips. The lion's eyes suddenly glow a bright yellow. With a loud bang, the door suddenly begins to lift, and my mouth goes slack as I gaze up at the lion before me.

It's bigger than the others, and instead of white like mine, it's metal is painted a deep back. Laying on it's back is a pair of red wings, contrasting beautifully with the dark shell of the rest of the lion. It's much larger than the other lions too. Standing up from a sitting position, it lets out a mighty roar as Shiro gazes up at it in wonderment. In response, the rest of the lions sitting before it roar along with it. Their pack has been reunited.

Suddenly, Allura's voice crackles onto an intercom, hidden somewhere I can't see. "Sendak is entering the Arusian atmosphere. We need Voltron now!"

Climbing into my lion with a newfound confidence, and an even stronger trust with Masha, I settle into my seat.

"All right, Masha. Let's kick some Galra ass," I smirked, gripping the handles and lifting off.

Alining into a V-formation, with Shiro at the front, we sped off and through the particle barrier, heading towards the Galra ship set on destroying us. Landing on the ground with a loud thump, I scowled as purple lasers flung our way. Luckily, they deflected easily off the particle barrier. Suddenly, a large purple beam consumed the castle, and turned into a firey ball. The ground shook, and I grunted as the heat flashed onto my skin, and my lion trembled with the rest of the world.

"Man, those Galra guys repair things fast," Hunk remarked, and I started uneasily up at the ship.

Hunk had destroyed the ion cannon - or at least damaged it - and it had taken them barely any time to fix it. We're supposed to beat these guys?

Mae. Enough with the doubt. You have one job, one thing you must use your energy for. Forming Voltron. If your entire heart and entire being does not have faith, then it will not work. You are needed you Mae, and you can do it.

Rolling my shoulders back, I set my gaze forward.

"The barrier gets weaker with every blast!" Coran's desperate voice calls out, the blaring of alarms ringing through the background. "Once that shield goes down, the castle will be defenseless."

"I can give you cover with the castle defenses for a while, but you have to form Voltron now or we'll all be destroyed!" Allura instructs.

"Jeez, no pressure," Hunk mumbles.

"Okay, guys," I say determined. "Looks like we're gonna have to do this, and fast. Any ideas on how to for-"

I'm cut off by another threatening blast from the ion cannon, shaking the world as heat engulfs us entirely, and my lion trembles.

"Listen up, Team Voltron!" Shiro grunts. "The only way to succeed is to give it all you've got! This looks bad, but we can do this! Are you with me?"

Inhaling deeply, I nod, a few beads of sweat rolling down my head.

"I'm nodding. Is everyone else nodding?" Hunk cuts in, the defiant silence having vanished.

"Yes," we all reply in unison, slight annoyance lacing our tone.

"Let's do this!" Shiro shouts, his lion jumping forward into a fast bound.

I push the handles forward, and my lion hastily follows. Running side by side, Lance's voice fills my lion.

"Uh, how?" Lance questions.
