Without me — Chapter 11

For the whole day, I actually felt guilty.

Halata naman sa ipinakita ni Phineas kung gaano siya ka-disappointed sa hindi namin pagpunta sa birthday niya. It's a special day for him—umaasa siyang ise-celebrate niya 'yon na kasami kami. The people who still cares.

Days had actually passed, I haven't been updated of Phineas. Parang mas lalo lang talaga siya lumalayo sa amin. Tuwing bumibisita ako sa kanila, may mga excuses ang mga kasambahay niya na may sakit raw, gumagawa ng mga homework, o wala sa mood na lumabas ng bahay.

Wala na rin naman akong maggagawa.

I think it's better to just respect his decisions for now.

Kasama ko si Demise na pumuntang cafeteria para bumili ng snacks. Napapansin ko na lagi ko nalang nakakasama si Demise. Tapos pa-minsan-minsan nalang si Blanche. Since the fight started between Leslie and the other girls, she became fonder of what the other girls' feelings will take. Minsan niya nalang pinapansin si Leslie—but I know they're still friends.

'Di ko lang alam kung papansinin pa ba ni Blanche si Leslie kung malaman niya ang tinatago niyang sikreto. Baka magtampo pa siya sa amin, dahil nakasama kami sa pagtatago ng sikreto sa kanya.

I'm just worried for her feelings. She just made a plan on about to claim her crush—Kenneth. Ayoko lang masaktan siya. She's really serious about it though. Ayoko lang talaga ma-ruin ang gawa niyang 'yon.

"There's still no sign of the girls and Leslie to patch things up," Demise commented. "I'm really concerned of their friendship." Demise is a good person. Gusto niya talaga ang ikabubuti ng lahat, kaya ganito siya ka-concern sa mga nangyayari sa mga kaibigan niya.

"All we can do now is wait," I responded. "Pero 'wag tayong magpakahintay tapos aasa nalang. There's possibility that they'll not be okay in the end," dagdag ko naman. From what I see, parang wala talagang balak na makipagbati ang ibang mga babae kay Leslie. Sa ginawa ba naman ni Leslie sa kanila, who has the decency to patch things up with her? None.

Demise just suddenly smirk. "Hmm. Kagaya niyo rin ba ni Ares?" she fucking ask that.

I glared. "Demise!"

"What?" She chuckled. "Baka umasa ka n'yan kay Ares, ha," sabi niya.

"Never in a million years," I said in exaggeration. "I told you not to bring this up!" I reminded with gritted teeth.

"I don't know about you, Xavierre. Hindi mo talaga nagugustuhan si Ares? I mean... he's a charming guy, a reason why girls really fall for him," she complimented the guy. I want to shout a no a dozen of times. Admitting side, I really had liked him—but that was before. Past is past. There's no way, I'll be able to like him again.

My crush feels really lasts for a short period of time. Maybe, after ilang months, mawawala na 'yon—the same thing of what my feelings for Ares happened.

Umiling na lamang ako at kumagat sa aking tuna sandwich. I have bought like six pieces of these. Paboritong paborito ko kasi talaga ang tuna sandwich, kaya tuwing nagbebenta ng ganito sa cafeteria, bili agad.

We decided to go back to the classroom. We checked the time, at napagtantong malapit na mag-start ang next class namin.

Sa labas palang ng building, I saw the other boys playing basketball—this time, without the higher level. Tuwing naglalaro si Naiser, hindi talaga kasama ang mga higher level. I don't even know why.

I stopped from walking inside of the building, as I saw Naiser running towards where we are also heading to.

"Xav? Tara na," pag-aya ni Demise.
